Score another win for Martin Margiela and his paint splattered “Replica” German army sneakers. In the latest iteration, MMM hits a laceless version of the trainer with “some methodically aimless strokes of matte paint” for Barney’s New York. Sure you could do this yourself. But you didn’t. (GQ)

Maison Martin Margiela has released their mid-cut sneaker for Spring/Summer 2010. The sneaker comes in a black and a white colorway, both featuring a mix of leather and suede on the upper. The black version comes with a gum sole. The sneakers are now available from Ripe Ark.

Here’s a look at some new sneakers from MMM. “From the Margiela Replica collection – these are mint green sports shoe inspired by a pair from 70s Austria. Made from lambskin and calf-split panels, these are leather lined and finished with a grey lace.” After the jump you’ll see some medically inspired “soft white leather slip on trainers in large grain leather with matching white stitching and textured rubberized grey sole.” Both styles can be had at Oki-Ni.

We love the way Maison Martin Margiela applies new ideas to product and always twists the standard at least a little. In their latest jewelry offering they worked with silver. The collection consists of rings, bracelets and tie clips, all given the look as if wrapped in crumpled aluminum foil. The collection is now available at Ssense.

Maison Martin Margiela has worked on their first collaborative product ever – for Opening Ceremony’s upcoming new outlet in the Ace Hotel, they produced a white Bic feather pen. It comes with a white goose or oestrich plume and is nicely wrapped in a white box, featuring both brand names.
