Casio x Manik G-Shock DW-5600

Seattle “skate jocks” Manik are the latest brand to receive their own G-Shock watch from Casio. Overall, the classic DW-5600 is kept simple with a mostly matte black make up. The main Manik design elements are a criss-cross pattern printed over the strap accompanied by a broken deck logo on the inside casing. Stless Select has stock.

After an initial preview a couple of months ago, the pre-order for the Manik x Kiks TYO skateboard is open since today. The deck once again features Japanese singer Yuko Ishida, a regular collaborator of Kiks TYO. As part of this collaboration they present a skateboard deck and a matching t-shirt.

Manik always impresses with their dedication, attention to detail, quality and also with their collaborations. Most recently the Seattle brand worked with the Japanese brand Punk Drunkers. The collaborations consists of t-shirts and a New Era cap, with all pieces featuring comic character driven graphics.

Seattle based Manik got together with Kiks TYO from Tokyo to collaborate on a couple of skateboard decks. As usual the brand makes use of girls and sneakers, also for this project, and just like on t-shirts, the formula seems to work well on skateboard decks. Manik gets together with Seattle record label Sub Pop, which is responsible for bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden and others. They collaborated on a series of t-shirts and of course also some skateboard decks. The four t-shirts and give skateboard decks are now available at Goods.

Flying Coffin is celebrating its 2nd birthday late, but they celebrate it properly. They got together with Manik Skateboards and with Goods Seattle to collaborate on a series of skate decks and a matching t-shirt. The graphics are a collage of Flying Coffin work from the past two years. Only 50 decks per design have been produced. The matching t-shirt is limited to 45 pieces, with 10 going to Goods Seattle.

Both the skateboard decks and the t-shirt are now available in the Flying Coffin online store.
