For this fall season Marc Jacobs has a strong line-up of sneakers in the pipes. While the silhouettes stay very simple, it’s more the colors and details that jump into your eye. There are several high top and low top sneakers, with the most interesting ones featuring a quilted pattern over the upper. The color range goes from classic black and white to aggressive yellow.

Charlie Rose recently sat down with Marc Jacobs, Stephanie Seymour, Glenn O’Brien and Peter Brant to talk about the recent issue of Interview Magazine that had Jacobs on the cover, who was given the Warhol look. We reported about it at the time. Marc Jacobs also brought out a t-shirt featuring the cover artwork.

Recently Marc Jacobs was featured on the cover of Interview Magazine. On the cover he was given the looks of Andy Warhol, as the magazine describes him as the Warhol of our times. Now the Marc By Marc Jacobs line released a t-shirt that features the cover art of the magazine. It is now available in Marc Jacobs stores.

Marc by Marc Jacobs has released some recycled military goods. We always found the strategy by the brand interesting to have both a very expensive high end line and a moderately priced sub-line.
They present an classic M-65 jacket (79 USD) and a German Mountain Duffel (65 USD), now available at Marc by Marc Jacobs stores.

Over at WWD we came across some interesting information about the opening of the Takashi Murakami exhibition that we previewed here already. Aside from presenting a new Monogramouflage pattern developed by the artist, the message behind the pattern is also quite special.
“Tonight, Vuitton is celebrating Takashi Murakami’s “© Murakami” exhibition with a “Brooklyn Ball” at the Brooklyn Museum featuring a special performance by Kanye West, the unveiling of a new camouflage print developed by Murakami and Marc Jacobs called Monogramouflage and a special installation designed to bring attention to one of the industry’s biggest travails — counterfeits.

But rather than simply hand out leaflets to alert guests about the importance of protecting original designs, the French luxury goods house will be taking a novel, somewhat intriguing route. Outside the museum, Vuitton is setting up 10 New York-style street vendors — not to sell fakes, but rather authentic Louis Vuitton product and special Monogramouflage canvases that Murakami has created specifically for the exhibition.”
If you can make it out there and get one of those Monogramouflage canvas, you can be sure it’s a good investment! Hopefully they will be using the pattern on leather goods as well.

We have always liked a lot what Marc Jacobs did with the classic Vans silhouettes. This summer we saw lots of slip-ons from the designer. Here we show you now the latest styles that have been getting into Marc Jacobs stores for this Fall season and once again little changes make a big difference.
The main feature that you notice in these new styles by the designer, is adding the shell toe onto Vans sneakers that usually do not have it. Surprisingly it looks really good and combined with nice colorways the outcome is great. Also you find in this new collection again two Sk8 Hi models.

A documentary directed by Loïc Prigent, based on an idea by Dominique Miceli.
