In conjunction with the PUMA® x Bode Mid “Da Lizard” release, PUMA and Bode have teamed up with Boston’s famous retailer Bodega to produce a limited edition “BODE_GA” tee starring Da Lizard. Mark Bode will also be making a very special appearance and signing at Bodega on the morning of the release, Saturday May 16th, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

In addition to the shirt Bodega has transformed their store’s main wall into a graffiti installation featuring collaborative work from world renowned street artists such as Mark Bode, Dr. Revolt, Chino, Kon, Mare, Wane and Skam. Other smaller works by both Mark and Vaughn Bode will also be on display during the release of this shoe.

Puma x Bodé Mid “The Lizard”

PUMA® has collaborated once again with Mark Bodé and the legendary, cheeky characters of his father, Vaughn Bodé. Launching the limited edition Bodé Cheech Wizard PUMA Clydes back in 2007 and this year, we honor Bodé by reuniting Cheech with one of his most notable partners, Da Lizard.

PUMA takes the character and the legacy and transforms them into the PUMA x Bodé Mid “Da Lizard”. This PUMA Mid is available in two colors: blue and green. Both shoes integrate Bodè’s lush shapes with clever stitching details. The eyes and body of Da Lizard are embroidered; his body colored in a subtle, but distinctive, green to yellow fade. The left and right sockliners feature Da Lizard in different attire, while the right tongue lining features his face and the left features the Da Lizard logo. The finishing touch is the PUMA logo set beside Vaughn Bodé’s signature.

The PUMA x Bodé Mid “Da Lizard” launches on Saturday May 16th, 2009, accompanied by a Bodé Hoody and Tees at the following retailers : ALIFE (NYC), Bodega (Boston), Carve (Costa Mesa/LA), Classic Kicks (NYC), UBIQ (Philly), Premium Goods (Houston), Major (D.C.), Packer Shoes (N.J.), Rock City Kicks (Arkansas), Leaders (Chicago), Sneaker Headz (Michigan) and UNDFTD (LA/LV).

Detailed images of the Puma x Bodé Mid “The Lizard” sneaker and the matching t-shirts follow after the jump.
