One aspect making the adidas Skateboarding collection interesting, is certainly the continued work with Mark Gonzales. We are not sure where the brand would be today, without that association.

The newest sneaker to be designed by the iconic skater and artist is the Ciero, coming as part of the adidas Skateboarding Spring 2009 collection. Via Complex.

Expect the adidas Skateboarding “Mark Gonzales” Ciero to pop up in stores as of January.

For Spring 2009, adidas Skateboarding continues to work with Mark Gonzales. You will see both a sneaker and a sneaker covered in the art by Mark Gonzales. The graphics nicely blend in, and even though they are all-over the sneaker, they do not seem too bold.

Driven Studio initiated the Gordini Artist Series Project (GASP), which captures the creative essence of three high profile skate relevant artists, Mark Gonzales, Chris Pastras and Andre Razo. Each artist designed their own set of limited goggles. The goggles will be available in stores this Holiday 2008/2009 season.

Decathlon Books is a new venture from Chinatown Soccer Club duo Peter Sutherland and Duncan Hamilton. 10 artists are individually represented in an equal number of limited edition books. The first is Mark Gonzales, in a publication titled “Emportant News.” Dashwood Books and Cinders Gallery are the two places to find Decathlon books.

Drop, one of the industry’s leading snowboard accessory manufacturers, unveils the newest addition to its collection – the “DPI: DROP Pure Inspiration” Series, a creatively-driven program pairing select Drop gloves, accessories and apparel with top artists from the action sports world. Kicking off the campaign for the 08/09 winter season is a limited edition collaboration with skateboard heavyweight and renowned artist Mark Gonzales.

The DPI collection featuring artwork by Gonz includes the HD glove, the Boundary II short glove and mitt, the Bandanask, and the GONZ t-shirt in exclusive Gonz colorways. The new series will hit select Drop retailers around the world in October.

Adidas Skateboarding continues their close relationship with skater and artist Mark Gonzales. For Spring 2009 he worked on a variety of product, some more widely available and others intended for limited release. As usual you find Mark’s art on all his footwear.
We present you today the limited releases that he worked on, both footwear and clothing, available at premium skate doors next year.

The collaboration of skater/artist Mark Gonzales and Adidas Skateboarding continues and they released the Doley now. A nice simple all white low top sneaker with some trademark art by Mark Gonzales. 
It is now available at Slam Jam.

The Fall ‘08 line from Adidas Skateboarding sees more strong releases from the hand of skateboarding legend and artist Mark Gonzales. Of particular note is the Roster Mid,which takes classic Adidas Basketball, adds Mark’s brilliant hand and pads the shoe specifically for skateboarding. The sketched stripes on the Doley slip are also a great aesthetic twist. All is nicely complemented by the sleek profile of the Doley lace up. Aside from sneakers Adidas also worked with Gonz on a few tees, hoodies and jackets. (via Sneakersbr).

After previously already showing you a couple of pieces from the Adidas Skateboarding Summer ‘08 collection, we show you now their complete offering for this season.
In terms of footwear they present the Roster Mid, 2 Superstars, 2 Gazelles (one being designed by Mark Gonzales) and 2 Campus Vulc. Just like we are used the brand keeps it mostly basic in terms of design and does what they are known for.

The latest Mark Gonzales collaboration with Adidas mixes a vulc sole with the classic Superstar. This results in an updated and perfected skate shoe tied directly to one of Adidas’ top sneakers. Art work from Gonz is featured on the heal.
