The Married To The Mob x Kangol cashmere beanies were first released at Colette a while back, now they have finally been launched in NYC. Instead of a releases event or party, they did something a little bit different this time. Besides releasing it in the MOB online store, they also quietly put up a billboard on Stanton/Orchard above the WK piece. The billboard pictures Leah’s (the founder/designer of MOB) little sister, wearing the beanie. Definitely nice work and something a little bit different!

Shortly after the release of their Holiday 2007 collection, Married To The Mob is back once again and re-releases one of their most successful t-shirts in new colorsways – “My Girls Rock Balenciaga & Smoke Mad Marijuana”.
The t-shirts have now been released in blue, pink, green and red. If you did not have the chance to get it the first time around, here is your second chance.

Just a couple of days ago when we presented the new Married To The Mob Holiday 2007 collection we mentioned that we would love to see more pieces from the brand. Here we go now, a great collaboration between MOB and Kangol on some winter beanies. The beanies come in 100% cashmere and three colorways – grey, pink and purple. The signature lipstick mouth logo of MOB comes in the form of a golden clip. Good quality, nice branding and not too much.

The beanies are limited to 150 pieces per colorway. This is by far the strongest womens headgear we have seen this season. They have launched a few minuted ago at Sold Out.

Married To The MOB have released their Holiday 2007 collection today. The photoshoot was done this time with Mega, after the Fall collection was presented by French artist Fafi. The new collection consists once again of mainly t-shirts and also one fresh new hoodie.
We like what we are seeing, but would like to see the line grow to more pieces and styles, beyond t-shirts and hoodies. Hopefully that will happen by next year. For now check out the new collection after the jump.

New York City based women’s wear label Married to the Mob announces its new fall line with the help of legendary French artist Fafi. These portrait sessions shot by photographer Lynnette Astaire are the first in a new series that Married to the Mob will embark on featuring extraordinary women from all over the world. This season features Fafi, a Parisian artist known globally for her colorful and provocative paintings as well as her recent work with Adidas and Le Sportsac featuring her “Fafinette” characters.

After an introduction at hotspot Colette in Paris where both of their brands can be found, Mob founder Leah McSweeney’s decision to feature Fafi for the campaign was a natural fit for Mob, Fafi is a pioneer and trendsetting artist all while balancing work with her husband and son.

Married to the Mob has been at the forefront of the womens streetwear movement  with unique collaborations with brands such as MCM and artists such as legendary graffiti artist Kaws and portrait photographer Lynnette Astaire. These projects have been noted in editorial outlets such as Vogue, Paper, Elle, Jalouse and Complex. In addition to this seasons shoot Leah plans to add Fafi to her growing list of Mob contributing artists in the future.

A while ago Married to the Mob got together with artist Kaws to create a Bikini. It was a huge success and sold out in no time. Building on that the two got together again for another Bikini that will be released this coming Friday, July 27th.
The new version features once again Kaws designs on the slip and the top, this time a gold print on black. Looks great!
