Simple, yet interesting choice of colors and a nice fading effect make these two new beanies stand out from the crowd. They come as part of the new Fall/Winter 2010 Collection and are now available from Aloha Rag.

As part of their Line 22, Maison Martin Margiela introduces three new colorways of their painted low top sneaker. The sneakers are based on a classic German military trainer and come in black, red and blue. They are exclusive to Barneys New York.

We present you the Replica Sneaker from the Martin Margiela Fall/Winter 2010 Collection.

“From the Margiela Replica collection – these are dove grey sports shoe inspired by a pair from 70s Austria, finished with a white wash for A/W. Made from lambskin and calf-split panels with a gum sole, these are leather lined and finished with a grey lace.”

The sneaker is similar to the classic German military sneaker and is now available in two colorways from Oki-Ni.

Martin Margiela presents a very interesting set of items in his Replica Collection. Today his Replica Sneaker caught our eyes. The sneaker has been constructed after a 70s sneaker that was found in Austria. It comes in soft calf leather and real paper has been applied to its upper, giving it an interesting used look. The sneaker is now available from Tres Bien.

This summer, Somerset House will host Maison Martin Margiela ’20’ The Exhibition; a major exhibition celebrating 20 years of one of contemporary fashion’s most influential and enigmatic designers. Following the success of recent exhibitions ‘SHOWstudio’ and ‘Skin and Bones’ this show will explore the designer’s artistic and conceptual approach to fashion.

“This multi-layered exhibition captures Margiela’s unique aesthetic and vision spanning the past 20 years, by incorporating installations, photography, video and film. It will provide an opportunity to learn more about the brand and its philosophy through a visual examination of themes that underpin the essence of the fashion house since its creation – from its deconstructivist, subversive design aesthetic and avant-garde couture to its understated branding, unusual boutique interiors and ‘trompe-l’oeil’ or optical illusion and its couture atelier white coats. Various iconic pieces from both the women and menswear collections will be on display, such as the highly replicated ‘Tabi’ boots, as well as specially recreated garments for the exhibition. “

Martin Margiela once again manages to draw some attention with his new paint sneakers. The low top German army inspired sneaker comes in beige with white paint poured over it. What we love about it, is the consequence in the execution. The sneaker is now available at Aloha Rag.

We present some more pieces from the Martin Margiela Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. This time we concentrate on the accessories line-up. In terms of sneakers the designer presents two new silhouettes, coming in thick premium leathers. The accessories collection consists of silver jewelry, leather goods (bags, messenger bags, wallets, bracelets), scarfs, hats and more.

We present you the upcoming sunglasses from the Martin Margiela Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. While previously all the designers sunglasses came in one piece, Margiela takes a more traditional approach for Spring/Summer 2010, with an alteration on the classic pilot sunglasses.
