After presenting the new Mad Hectic Fall/Winter 2009 collection, we continue on with their sibling brand, Masterpiece. The hip-hop inspired Japanese label presents a solid variety of shirts, jackets and other items, with a relatively subdued color palette and minimal branding. The black and white backdrop to the shoot (that looks like someone at the label might be a fan of HBO’s The Wire) serves them well. Now available at realmadHECTIC, Tokyo.

Japanese brand Masterpiece got together with retailer Journal Standard to collaborate on a backpack and a waist bag. Both pieces come in a mix of suede and canvas and are available in beige and in navy. As usual we see lots of nice small details and an overall quality range of product from Masterpiece.

Masterpiece has released a new pair of sunglasses as part of their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. The sunglasses have at first a classic form, yet at closer inspection they added some interesting curves to the frame. The logo only appears on the inside of the frame. The sunglasses are now available in the Masterpiece online store.

It looks like Undefeated and Masterpiece did not only get together for the training suits, but also on a couple of t-shirts. They offer two different designs, each coming in several colorways. Undefeated Chapter Stores in the US and the official online store will be releasing the t-shirts on March 14th.

As it turns out, the upcoming Undefeated x Masterpiece collaboration consists of more product. There will be a pullover hoodie, full zip hoodie and sweat pants. Also these pieces will not only be coming in grey, but also in black.

Masterpiece and Undefeated get together to collaborate on a sweat suite. They present a full zip hoodie and matching sweat pants. Both feature the Undefeated script and the Undefeated strike logos and a small Masterpiece logo tag. No word on the release date so far.

Here now a look at the Masterpiece Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. The Japanese brand presents lots of nice jackets this season and in general we like a lot the color palette. They stay mostly away from heavy graphics and concentrate of color and cut, which worked out well this season.

Masterpiece has released as part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection the Nel Shirts. The shirts come in three colorways and we especially like the large plaid pattern that they feature, completely changing the look from your regular plaid shirt. The colors are nice and strong, but with the white mix, they turn out just right and not too bright.

After presenting you yesterday the new Hectic and Roc Star Fall/Winter 2008 collection, we continue today with Masterpiece.
Their Fall/Winter 2008 collection is very solid and offers a variety of nice shirts, jackets as well as accessories, even though you will see a lot more coming than what you see here on these images. Also the brand offers some great fitted caps and fleece pieces in the new line.
