Once again MCM gets together with Japanese brand Phenomenon. For Fall/Winter 2011 the collection has gotten really big, including a full clothing offering, bags, gadget cases, caps, sneakers and even jewelry. Most pieces come in both the classic MCM cognac monogram and in a new tiger camouflage design as well.

The Bambi Award is the most important German trophy for international media and film. The bronze metal deer sculpture is given out every year to exceptional people of the industry and can be somewhat compared to the Oscar. The next Bambi Awards are coming up on November 10th, 2011, and this year luxury leather goods maker MCM produced a custom case for the prize. Each winner of the award will receive the custom case as well.

After a previous look at the backpack, we present the MCM Digi Camo Messenger Bag from the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. The mid size bag comes in a grey/black/red camouflage pattern, featuring brown leather applications and gold metal details. A practical piece for everyday use, that definitely stands out of the crowd.

After a successful first launch of the Urban Nomad sneaker by German designer Michalsky and MCM in a classic cognac and a white colorway, it looks like the two are working on some more colors of the sneaker. While sticking to a strict MCM monogram design, the upper colors seem to become more fun in the near future, with bright green, red, grey and baby blue colors previewed here above. We will keep you posted on a release of the sneakers.

Following up on the MCM Men’s Spring/Summer 2012 Preview, we take a closer look at the digi camo backpack that the brand will be introducing next season. Their classic backpack shape comes in this new design, featuring a grey/blue/black camo pattern all-over the upper, with certain parts featuring black leather re-enforcements.

The other we had a look at the new MCM Spring/Summer 2012 Men’s Collection. The German luxury leather goods company, which is now owned and operated by a Korean firm, has certainly caught some up-wind these last couple of seasons. In the end of the day, people will always want something new and MCM is new… again.

Next to their signature monogram pattern, the line expands into more subtle styles as well, and introduces next season a new digi camo pattern in two colorways.

Today we passed by the opening of the new MCM Pop-Up Store in Berlin Mitte. Days before fashion week the German luxury leather goods brand opened a temporary store, catering to the young fashionable.

The product focus in the store lies on backpacks, iPhone and iPad cases, as well as small leather goods. The store also carries all the limited edition goods of the brand and their collaborations, including the one with Phenomenon from Japan. Make sure to pass by the store this week, should you be in town.

Last week we reported about the opening of the MCM Satellite Store in Berlin. The pop-up location will be located in the Berlin Mitte district and will primarily carry backpacks, speaking to a younger consumer. From special color editions with stud details to the Phenomenon collaborations, the store will be carrying a range of interesting product.
