Here’s a closer look at the OriginalFake x Medicom Toy KAWS PARTNERS figure that hits retail on January 28, 2012. In this latest release, artist KAWS aka Brian Donnelly created a toy version of himself standing alongside his most well-known creation, the Companion – a scene reminiscent of the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse at Disney World, Florida. Medicom Toy has produced a limited edition UNO card game. The iconic game by Mattel comes this time featuring the Bearbrick character in each card. Look out for a release of the game in the coming weeks.

In an interesting new collaboration, Medicom Toy and Converse get together. As part of the team-up, they present a Chuck Taylor All Star High and a Jack Purcell. Both sneakers feature a white fur upper and come with a Medicom Toy Bearbrick logo embroidery. Overall two very clean looking sneakers that are scheduled to be released November 2011.

As part of his upcoming Holiday 2011 Army vs Navy Collection, Dr. Romanelli teamed up once again with Medicom Toy on some Bearbrick toys.

On the ‘Army’ side he presents the Beetle Bailey Bearbricks in 400% and 100% sizes and on the ‘Navy’ side he presents Popeye Bearbricks in 400% and 100% sizes. The toys will release October 2011 at select retailers.

Medicom Toy is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a dedicated exhibition. For the occasion they got together with a couple of lifestyle brands on anniversary product.

The collection includes Bape, Stussy and Hysteric Glamour t-shirts, as well as Oakley Frogskin sunglasses, New Era 59Fifty fitted caps, a tote bag and cushion and flip flop sandals.

Medicom Toy brings it with another fresh new VCD Mickey Mouse figure. Based on the classic 1937 ‘The Worm Turns’ episode, Mickey in seen a white lab coat and red gloves with a cup of his magical medicine… a substance that, essentially, amounts to steroids.

The Mickey Mouse as Mad Hatter figure from Medicom Toy and Disney has been released. Standing approximately 6 inches tall, the figure takes heavy cues from the Tim Burton/Johnny Deep interpretation of the Alice in Wonderland character. Now available at SlamJam.

Medicom continues to work with Disney and Japanese brand Roen, this time on a special black on black edition of their reinterpreted Mickey Mouse characters. The Mummy, Pirate, Guitar, Two Gun and Crown Mickey Mouse figures will be released in tone on tone, matte and gloss black versions for February 2011.

Parisian brand Paul & Joe are the latest folks to receive a line of Bearbrick toys from Medicom. Featured in the full range of sizes – 1000%, 400%, 100% and 50% – the toy is sure to find space in the homes of many P&J fans. These bears will be released on November 26, 2010.

In their latest collaboration with Medicom Toy, Japanese store Advantage Cycle has invited Cassette Playa, Maharishi and artist Will Sweeney to create their own luggage and accessory collections. Included in the product range are backpacks, fanny packs, cushions, wallets and more. We especially like the Maharishi camo used in the line and Cassette Playa also created an intriguing all-over design, using their signature colors, yet managing to keep it a little more subtle than usual.
