The Ballistic Luggage Collection by Visvim is every season a favorite of ours. Solid pieces, good colors and of course all that at the highest leve of quality. For Spring/Summer 2009 Visvim introduces new models into the collection and offers each piece in several colorways.
We present you the Ballistic Lumber 8L, a waist pack, which comes in four colorways. The Ballistic E-Cat 18L Messenger Bag comes in four colorways as well, just like the Ballistic 20L backpack. Another highlight in the collection is the Ballistic 25L Backpack, which comes in only two colorways and is the biggest size in the line this season. For the Ballistic 25L Visvim also offers Gore-Tex covers, matching their Nomad jackets.
The Visvim Spring/Summer 2009 Ballistic Luggage Collection will be released at Undefeated tomorrow, April 24th.

Japanese retailer Beams hooks up with traditional bike messenger maker De Martini on a series of bags. The bags come in different colorways, materials and also feature different upper embroideries. Our personal favorite is the canvas bag with the skull and bones and the paisley pattern. The bags are now available in the Beams online store.

Later this year Eastpak will be releasing their latest collaborative project with French electro label Edbanger Records. Edbanger art director So_Me chose two of the most popular styles from Eastpack, the Padded Pack’r” and the “Delegate” messenger bag and gave it the Edbanger touch. Both bags come in two colorways, featuring a So_Me all-over design – silver grey/black and purple/black.
All bags feature a special cut-out Emaille-Pin on the inside. Hidden, the pins have to be cut out of an interior pocket and feature a special registration code, with which you can then download special collaborative content from Eastpak and Edbanger Records.
Look out for a release of the Eastpak x Edbanger Records Collection around October 2009.

Once again Original Fake and Gallery 1950 link up to collaborate on a Porter messenger bag. This time the bag comes in black with green/blue/yellow accents and the popular Chomper design by artist Kaws. The bag will soon be available at Samplekickz.

The bi-coastal collaboration between Incase, HUF and DQM has gone from concept to creation. Available today are the HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags, customized in two variations that feature defining visuals of each of the retailers’ respective cities. Designed with bike and skate enthusiasts in mind, the bags pair the best aspects of conventional bike messenger bags and the ability to secure a skateboard with Incase’s refined industrial design aesthetic and device-driven functional features.
Born out of longstanding friendships that span across time and space, the Incase for HUF and DQM project began when Damon Way (Incase Chief Brand Officer), Keith Hufnagel, aka HUF (HUF owner/professional skateboarder), and Dave Ortiz (DQM owner) decided to partner together with the vision of creating a product that authentically represented their collective interests, backgrounds and geographies.
The HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags are designed for full functionality and performance. From the heavy denier Cordura Nylon construction, waterproof lining and padded inset notebook compartment to the custom skateboard attachment with injection-molded skate bumpers and integrated, removable hip pack, the bags are travel-ready protective solutions for essential gear.
Although the HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags maintain the same construction and functional features, an important aspect of the project was to outwardly represent the cities of each retailer by customizing the bags’ front panels.
San Francisco is represented on the front panel of the HUF Skate Messenger Bag through custom patches with DBC references and HUF’s signature H. DQM pays homage to New York City with a graffiti-laden waterproof interior panel and an exterior panel featuring a sewer rat and a version of the Statue of Liberty. Both bags feature the Incase for HUF and DQM logo wheel patch.
The HUF and DQM Skate Messenger Bags have been produced in limited quantities and are available for purchase through the Incase webstore, HUF retail locations, DQM and better boutiques and go for 289 USD.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2009 collection, Head Porter presents new pieces in their Croquet Collection. The day pack and the messenger bag come in four colorways each and are both water- and wind resistant. The uppers feature a checker pattern print with tonal accents in nylon.

After announcing the collaboration last week, we can show you today some first teaser images of the final product. It seems like both Huf and DQM worked with Incase on messenger bags. The Huf bag comes in red and the DQM bag comes in blue, both featuring lots of patches on the upper.

Another collaboration between Sophnet and Visvim will be coming out this season, this time on the high end Visvim ballistic bag collection. Sophnet chose a warm navy blue tone and worked on the Back Pack 22 and the E-Cat 18 Messenger Bag. The bags are made of Cordura nylon and of cours feature the elk skin bottom.
