Disturbing London and MHI gave us a look at their upcoming denim shirt, and in turn, we are sharing the news with you. This washed indigo shirt features a grouping of embroidered icons on the front, but the sleeves and back were left plain. White buttons pop nicely against the denim making this one nice overall product. The shirt does not ship until January 6, 2012, but get yourself in the game by pre-ordering now.

After giving you yesterday an exclusive look at the Maharishi Autumn/Winter 2008 collection, we show you today stand out pieces of their more street inspired MHI collection.

MHI offers as part of their new collection some quality jackets, pants, shirts, hoodies, as well as accessories. The bags in the new collection are looking really good.

Part of the collection has already been delivered to stores, but most of what we show you here is coming out in the next months.

It seems a bit early, but for some reason MHI will be releasing a couple of Spring/Summer 2009 items in Japan in the near future. Most interesting we found the Viet Slip-On. 

Coming in two canvas colorways, the shoe is already special for being a mid top slip-on, something one only sees rarely. Also the closing mechanism is something new to us. The choice of materials and colors is very balanced, making the Viet Slip-On a model to be looking out for.

Dedue will get them in on the 24th of September.

Uniqlo once again proofs its innovative character. A while back we were impressed with the opening of their first UT store, selling t-shirts out of vending machines. Today we present you another great addition to Uniqlo stores – Wakamaru.
It is the first robot ever to be featured in a retail store environment, will be joining the UNIQLO team the second week in September. Designed by Toshiyuki Kita and developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), wakamaru is neither human or machine; it is the first creation of its kind.  wakamaru’s capabilities include eye contact, basic conversation, ability to recognize people and greet them, voice recognition, and basic arm movements. wakamaru will hold a unique role in the UNIQLO store.  It will lead staff in motivational morning exercises, communicate promotions to customers, as well as greet customers upon entrance into the store.
In about a weeks time you will be able to meet wakamaru in the Uniqlo Soho store.

The other day we showed you the Mode2 x MHI Fall ‘08 t-shirts that will be released next month. Today we give you a detailed look at the upcoming Penfield x MHI coat that will drop this coming Fall season. They introduce a new camouflagepattern made up of stripes and the Penfield bear head logo. As usual very clean. 
Hanon will be among the first to get it in, so look out!

Futura Heavy Industries, the collaboration brand between Futura and Maharishi, has now released a logo New Era cap. The has an embroidered cycling stripe down center and features two logo embroideries, one on each side of the cap. More details are on the brim and inner lining.

This year Futura 2000 launched a new brand together with MHI – Futura Heavy Industries (FHI). The brand was both very well welcomed but at the same time quite some scepticism arose. Futura already had his other brand, Futura Laboratories (FL), and the first FHI collection looked very similar to FL, thus many did not really understand the idea behind the new brand.
Therefore we are glad to see the new FHI Fall/Winter 2007 collection with fresh designs, more colors and definitely a different approach than Futura Laboratories. The new collection is now available at Sold Out.
