MINDstyle International is pleased to announce a licensing agreement with Paramount Licensing, Inc., and the launch of their new art toy collectibles (ATC) line with The Godfather. Fans of the masterpiece will have an entirely new medium and interpretation because of the art toy product category. We had shown you several previews of the toy and finally we can show you the creation of the infamous film character by Michael Lau.

The Original version (with marionette) will be packaged in a special limited edition collectors box and launch at the “Family Tradition” art exhibition curated by Ron English in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 19th at De la Barracuda and San Diego Comic Con (MINDstyle Booth #4545). In addition, two alternate color ways of the OG version will be available in limited edition from selected retailers.

Michael Lau masterminded the style and approach with MINDstyle to produce the art toy figure inspired by the film classic. MINDstyle will next follow-up with the release of a Classic version figure and a Secret version figure by Michael Lau. Both products are scheduled to reach store shelves in fall, 2009 worldwide.

Today we get a first look at the upcoming Michael Lau x MINDstyle Godfather figure that will be released very soon. Easily one of the more anticipated toy releases this year, the Godfather figure is looking good so far. Let’s wait and see what other surprises they have waiting for us.

One of the most acclaimed movies of all time leading character is re-defined through the vision of vinyl pioneer, Michael Lau and proudly produced by MINDstyle newly launched ART TOY COLLECTIBLES line. The 8 inch tall (Original) marionette version vinyl figure will be released this July in limited edition with special packaging. Stayed tuned for updates and the work in progress!

Continuing his collaboration with MINDstyle, Michael Lau will be releasing a monotone series of his character toys very soon. The Snake Square 007 Set consists of three figures, each coming in a mix of grey camo and pearl white colors. Look out for a release very soon. The 6″ figures will be priced at 125 USD.

The much anticipated latest series of vinyl Gardener toys by artist Michael Lau have been released. All in all 8 toys have been released and are now available at Ningyoushi.

After announcing the latest Michael Lau x Nike project, “Psychiatric Ward” , a couple of days ago, we give you a first look at the Nike Air Crazy Force 1 sneaker and toy. The Air Force 1 comes with a quilted upper and several laser customizations. The toy gets the patient look and matches the Air Crazy Force 1. Via Kix-Files.

Hong Kong based artist Michael Lau is once again working with Nike and will be showcasing his Nike Crazy Air Force 1 exhibition on November 29th/30th at the Michael Gallery. So far we do not know if he will show a new sneaker, toys, art or probably all of these. Via Crazytoyz.

We have already given you a look at the toys that Silly Thing is about to release. Here we give you now a look at the complete set the toys come in, which is overall very impressive.

The “LML” edition features Juno’ vocals, Softhard’s rap and Pat Lee’s characters which have been visualized and manufactured by toy artist Michael Lau. The characters are based on the previous promotion video. The complete set will be released on November 15th, including the Soft-Juno-Hard vinyl toys, a bible with interviews of all collaboraters and a full length DVD of the animations behind the project.

Silly Thing worked together with Michael Lau on the Soft.Juno.Hard toy set, a character taken out of an animation that they had created last year. The set consists of three toys and each box also includes a booklet with the complete creative process behind the toy, including interviews with all participating parties. Via TK.

Some of the most exciting figures by artist Michael Lau have released at Sold Out.
Currently avaialble is the M.F.J.K. Set, which consists of a hybrid toy, inspired by James Jarvis, Kaws and Futura. Furthermore the toy comes with the Submilgaytona watch, which is also a hybrid out of the artists favorite Rolex watches – the Submariner, Milgauss and Daytona.
Also now available is the SK3 Set, consisting of three figures, inspired by some movie classics and the 049 Jordon figure.
