Recently artist and toy designer Michael Lau was asked by Nike to design the chinese BMX collection. "As long as it has the swoosh on it," was the only requirement Sandy Bodecker, Nike’s VP of Global Design, asked of Michael Lau as they began work on the Nike China Federation BMX Racing Team Kit for the coming Olympics this August in Beijing.
A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of sitting down with the artist to talk about this adventure and of course we also show you the outcome, which includes a special Nike Blazer, a matching toy and the BMX Racing Team Kit.

Three Zero, one of the most coveted toy designers out of Hong Kong best known for their gasmask logo (designed by Michael Lau) has partnered with adidas and Gilbert on a sleek black, carbon fiber shoe and Gilbert figurine.   Additional designers whose figures have been produced by Three Zero include Jason Siu and Elphonso Lam. Eric So of Three Zero designed the shoe.

The pack will be officially launched today in the game against the Milwaukee Bucks. 200 pairs of the pack are dedicated to the US and 300 pairs to Asia.

a90 2  Michael Lau x XLarge x Fingercroxx x MaharishiThe Michael Lau x XLarge x Fingercroxx figure set that got released earlier this year, was one of the most exciting in terms of designer toys this year. Now Touch Magazine presents a new version of the set, that has been done in collaboration with Maharishi. Maharishi has already worked closely with Michael Lau in the past. This time they mainly worked on releasing the set in a new orange colorway and adding some Maharishi camouflage flavor to it.
There will also be a set of all black and all white versions of the toys, but we do not know yet for what these are or by who these are designed. We’ll keep you posted.

One set of the Nike Pro Figures created by Michael Lau will be sold on 23rd of July at Sold Out. It will be a special set of 20″ figures all signed by the athletes and the artist. The figure set is otherwise not available to the general public. The set will be sold for 3′500 Euros and 100% of the proceeds will go to charity – the Arc-en-Ciel organization, an organization that helps young children with physical difficulties so they can play sports.
