After a successful first launch of the Urban Nomad sneaker by German designer Michalsky and MCM in a classic cognac and a white colorway, it looks like the two are working on some more colors of the sneaker. While sticking to a strict MCM monogram design, the upper colors seem to become more fun in the near future, with bright green, red, grey and baby blue colors previewed here above. We will keep you posted on a release of the sneakers.

Many of you were bummed to find out these were only dropping in Asia and Europe, right? Well good news (for one of you anyway.) We’re giving away a pair of these bad boys, through our Facebook page, and everyone (even North Americanos) can participate.

Last week we presented the more classic sand colorway of the upcoming Michalsky x MCM “Urban Nomad” high top sneaker. Today we show you the first images of the white colorway of the sneaker. Once again it comes with several premium leathers on the upper, the iconic MCM monogram pattern and the MCM logo plate on the tongue, hidden behind the ankle strap.

Both sneakers will release end of this week at select boutiques in Asia and Europe, as well as the MCM flagship stores in Hong Kong and Seoul and the official Michalsky online store. The sneakers are priced at 299 Euros.

Some of you might know that German designer Michael Michalsky, does not only operate his own fashion label, but also acts as the creative director of luxury leather house MCM. Ever since the designer took over MCM has celebrated quite the comeback and therefore this new collaboration only seems natural.

The Michalsky “Urban Nomad” high top sneaker got remixed with the signature MCM monogram leather. Today we showcase the more classic light brown colorway of the sneaker. In true MCM spirit, the iconic gold label tag of the leather brand has been placed on the tongue of the sneaker, sitting right behind the ankle strap.

The limited edition sneaker will see a release later next week, with more info on that coming here soon.

For the recent Michalsky Fashion Show in Berlin, New Balance has produced a special shoe. The shoe was unfortunately only made for the show and will most likely not be released to the general public. If that should change, we will let you know of course! Via Sneakerb0b.

Michael Michalsky used to be the global creative director of adidas and was also the one to start the Y-3 collection in collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto. A couple of years ago the designer left adidas to launch his own Michalsky brand. Now the time has come for him to launch his first sneakers under his own label.

Each sneaker will be hand-made in Germany and was created in collaboration with traditional sportshoe manufacturer Brütting. Based on a high-top model, that was first introduced in 1964, the sneaker will come in overall 9 individual versions, each with a different name. The sneakers are named Angelus, Diabolos and after the “Seven Deadly Sins” – Luxuria, Invidia, Gula, Ira, Superbia, Avaritia and Acedia. The Luxuria and Invidia models will be limited to 100 pairs worldwide and are numbered and signed by Michael Michalsky.

Retail prices of the sneakers will range from 200 to 1000 Euros. The official launch is during Berlin Fashion Week on January 30th 2009. Hopefully we can soon show you some better images of the sneakers.
