Here’s a closer look at the OriginalFake x Medicom Toy KAWS PARTNERS figure that hits retail on January 28, 2012. In this latest release, artist KAWS aka Brian Donnelly created a toy version of himself standing alongside his most well-known creation, the Companion – a scene reminiscent of the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse at Disney World, Florida. CLOT will launch a 1000% size 3-eyed Mickey Mouse Bearbrick toy on January 27, 2012. A must have for collectors. See the video below for their story on how Mickey came to possess a third eye.

Celebrating the new Year of the Dragon, CLOT has teamed up with MINDstyle on a new Mickey Mouse vinyl toy. The ‘Mickey Silk’ sees the iconic Disney character stand in its usual pose, while wearing a signature CLOT silk top. Further branding of the collaboration has been placed on the bottom of the feet of the toy.

The 7 Inch figure will see an official release on January 20th, 2012.

From December 3rd until December 12th, Medicom will be hosting their second Bearbrick World Wide Tour. Hosted at Shibuya Parco in Tokyo, the toy maker has worked with numerous designers and brand to showcase special designs of their iconic Bearbrick toy.

Large 1000% and 400% Bearbricks entirely made out of wood, in collaboration with fragment design, Stussy, A Bathing Ape, Mickey Mouse, TokiDoki and others will be on display at the show. The Hiroshi Fujiwara designed fragment version is certainly among the most interesting, next to the 1000% all wooden version, which can only cost a small fortune. The 200% metal Baby Milo toy together with A Bathing Ape is also nice.

Medicom gets together with Disney to produce a series of Bearbrick toys, all dressed in Christmas themes. The Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy, Goofy, Winnie The Pooh and other Santa versions will all go into a special lottery in Japanese convenience and electronics stores nationwide. The official launch is today, November 14th, 2011.

SOPHNET has once again worked with Disney and DC Comics as part of their Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. After already having released t-shirts earlier in the season, they now present knitwear. The crewneck sweaters feature Superman and Batman logos, as well as Mickey Mouse. The sweaters will be available from Sophnet retailers starting October 1st, 2011.

At this point, it’s feels as though the Mickey Mouse watch is almost as iconic as a Roley. Not really as classy, but just as prominent the watch has been revisited once again by the Japanese folks at Over the Stripes and BEAMS. The retro Mickey’s arms move with the times, while interchangeable fabric straps keep it preppy, for years to come. Four face colors to choose from.

You have to love or hate CLOT for these kind of things. As they continue to work with Disney on various projects, Mickey Mouse is at the moment the core theme, as we have seen with the Travelling Mickey Exhibition.

In terms of product, you will see the release of the new CLOT Dynasty ‘Mickey Mouse Patch’ Denim this week. Featuring overall 11 patches, all with the iconic cartoon character, as well as a large print on the back, along with added studs and embroidery details, we can safely say that much more would not have fitted onto the jeans. CLOT will release them on August 6th, 2011.

Jam Made Home have teamed up with Disney to work on this self-winding mechanical watch. Based on military styling, representing a gimmick watch, Mickey Mouse carries off a variety of playful facial expressions with precise movement. His look changes daily and weekly changes the cycle.
