Today we take a look at the new album cover by Blink 182. The band has worked with artist Mike Giant on the artwork for their new ‘Neighborhood’ album. The artist, known for his tattoo graphics and his brand Rebel8, stays true to his detailed black/white graphic style with the cover art.

Tattoo/graffiti/art legend Mike Giant worked with the filmmakers at Toypunks on a mascot toy, designed by Giant and produced by Reckless Toys. Available now through Reckless Toys.

Blue Angel Vodka wanted to know what would happen if five of their favorite directors had the exact same creative brief and budget to make a video showcasing their own unique vision of how to make a BAM aka Blue Angel Martini. First up is Mike Giant with a stop motion animation directed by Sean Desmond..

San Francisco artist Mike Giant designed a new Ram2 handlebar exclusively for Cinelli. Details are as follows. “Monocoque construction made with T700 high modulus carbon fibre, round drops only, stem angle 85°, fork 1-1/8″. Size c.c. 40/100-40/110-42/110-42/120-42/130-44/130-44/140.” These bars drop (sorry, had to) at the end of November. You can pre-order now through aerodinamica.

Cannondale, in their continued support of the Bahati Foundation, has collaborated with renowned graffiti and tattoo artist Mike Giant to produce the limited edition Cannondale X Mike Giant Graffiti Bike, available now for bidding via eBay.

“The Cannondale X Mike Giant Graffiti Bike features urban-inspired aesthetics provided by Mike Giant, and is a Cannondale SuperSix HI MOD frame/fork, 54cm, with Shimano Di2 drive train, custom Shimano Dura Ace
wheels, PRO Vibe carbon bars, stem & set post, Fizik Aliante saddle, and Continental Grand Prix 4000 tires, just like the Bahati Team issue bikes. The bike will be awarded to its new owner on the final day of the AMGEN Tour of
California, May 23, 2010. The AMGEN Tour of California is the largest cycling event in America, and is a Tour de France-style cycling road race, presented by AEG, that challenges the world’s top professional cycling teams to compete along a demanding course from May 16-23.”

100% of proceeds from the auction of the Cannondale X Mike Giant Graffiti Bike will go to The Bahati Foundation’s GIVEBACK programs which work to inspire youth through the sport of cycling.

Frank151 teamed up with TOTT global to make horticulturally insprired dice just in time for the “High Holidays”. San Francisco based artist Mike Giant conceptualized the dice as a fundamental example of interactive and useful art that was also just plain fun. The Rollin’ High Dice Game is the first in a series of games being released by TOTT in collaboration with artists like Mike Giant in the future. Look out for a release soon.

Benny Gold offers a look into a collaborative project with fellow Bay area label Rebel8. The graphics combine of Mike Giant’s amazing hand styles with familiar sayings and images from Benny Gold’s work. Both Rebel8 and Benny Gold will drop different online exclusive shirts at their respective web stores this week. There will also be one additional t-shirt released to retail on November 1, 2009 alongside a New Era cap in two colorways. Stay tuned for more details.

Mike Giant produced a nice graphic, showing off his ‘64 Black Cinelli Super-Corsa bike and offered it to the Italian bike maker. They liked it so much, that they will soon be releasing it as a limited edition poster.

The Magda Danysz Gallery is pleased to welcome two major artists from the street art scene who have developed very unique styles of their own : Dalek and Mike Giant. Though they have very different styles they talk about the same culture, the same influences and the same world.

Dalek is one of the artists who just like Shepard Fairey, Dave Kinsey, and Twist (aka Barry McGee) is taking the old school styles of graffiti while exposing the work to a whole new audience.

Mike Giant has added the whole tattoo culture to his graffiti background. He started writing in 1989. Early on, he was influenced by his graffiti partners a lot, as well as by writers like Twist, Rem, and KR. A habit he has kept from his graffiti years as now, Mike Giant uses words as the building blocks of language.

The exhibition runs from April 25th until May 23rd. Example works of both artists follow after the jump.

The new issue of French Clark Magazine will be released tomorrow. After working on previous issues with Alife and Parra, they now got together with Mike Giant. The magazine comes with two different cover artworks by the artist. Issue 34 features : Henry Rollins, Tommy Guerrero, Julien Beyneton, Sozy One, French, Kanye West, A-Trak, Rohff, Birdy Nann Nann & many more…. Also the outro artwork was done by artist Grotesk.
