Brooklyn-based label Mishka presents their Spring 2011 Lookbook featuring musicians Neon Indian, Das Racist, CREEP, AraabMuzik, Stalley and others shot by Marley Kate in and around New York City. In the following two paragraphs, Mishka writes a valiant ode to Spring:

I think even those of us at Мишка who enjoy winter and cold weather have finally had enough of this shit. It’s time for Spring. We had a taste of warm weather a few days back and it drove everyone giddy with pleasure before it was taken away from us the very next day. But our suffering is almost at an end and our happiness will be coming soon.

The pretty girls will emerge from their giant coats and layers of fabric like fashion conscious butterflies with good bangs and stupid tattoos. Young boys who think they’re rebels are gonna be skating in packs and cackling at inside jokes. Our moment of great joy hasn’t happened yet, but any day now we’re going to wake up in Heaven.

The first delivery of the Мишка Spring 2011 collection is now online and includes both the Psychic TV and D.A.R.T. Collections.

Some of you might remember the calendar and the lookbook that Ellen Stagg shot for Mishka. Now the two have teamed up again and present the “Wet Dreams” skateboard deck and matching t-shirt. Both pieces can be purchased from the Mishka online store and flagship stores now.

Next to their mainline, Mishka NYC presents for Spring 2011 a capsule collection with Psychic TV. They worked with Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, who formed the band in 1982.

“Psychic TV has their own cult/fanclub referred to as Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth. They have their own religious book, Thee Psychick Bible. They have a symbol to unify them, thee psychic cross.

We have made four T-shirts bearing iconic Psychic TV image. There’s one of a corroded Psychic Cross. There’s one featuring the unforgettable and frightening cover of Psychic TV’s Unclean 12″ single. There’s also a remake of t-shirt worn in one the groups most iconic photos featuringthe eyes of Charles Manson. Another with Cyco Simon crucified to the psychic cross instructs the Psychick Youth to rise. We’ve also produced a fitted New Era hat featuring thee Psychic Cross. The prestige piece of this collection is our Psychic M65 jacket, a long camoflage coat with a removable hood and ornamented with Psychick icons inside and out. There are four patches, two buttons, a Psychic Cross pattern lining and on the back there’s the word “PSYCHIC” in embroidered in an arc over the Psychic Cross.”

Mishka gives us a nice behind the scenes look at their upcoming Spring 2011 Collection Lookbook.

“The lookbook for all of Spring 2011 will be unveiled to the world in the coming days, but we’ve decided to give you a little taste. A Мишка amuse bouche. Matthew Caron (AKA The Vidiot) shot all this footage of our lookbook shoot (yeah, we’re meta. What of it?), and put together this succulent little teaser video. As you can see, we’ve chosen a bunch of our favorite musicians from the greater NY area to model all our new duds.

This lookbook features the likes of (deep breath): Neon Indian, Suckers, Das Racist, Roofeeo, Creep, Hussle Club, Fostercare, BL§§D OU†, AraabMuzik, AC Slater & The Captain (of Trouble & Bass), as well as recent Мишка Mixtaper Stalley, all shot by the lovely and talented Marley Kate.”

Today, Мишка proudly announces their collaboration with Ohio-born rapper Stalley with the release of his new album, Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music). The music is complimented by a companion T-shirt (see above) and a celebratory free in-store performance this coming Friday, February 11, 2011.

Mishka NYC has teamed up with the band Wavves on a Starter snapback cap. The cap comes in white with blue/red embroideries features ont the front and side-panel of the cap. It has been released today in their online store.

Milwaukee Bicycle Co. worked with Mishka on a custom D.A.R.T. Bruiser bicycle.

The Bruiser was the first fixed gear of it’s kind. A solid-as-fuck bike meant to take a beating. Since its release, other companies have followed suit, mimicking the geometry and detailing.

The bike comes features D.A.R.T. and MKE insignias alongside a special headtube badge. Check in with MWNKA for news on availability.

Mishka offers a first look at a new series they’re launching called Cyco 78. The new collection focuses on a darker aesthetic in the vein of old Hardcore, Punk, Thrash and horror designs, and as such, shirts will only be printed on black and white bodies and will only ever use black, white and red ink. Mishka will only be producing 78 pieces of each design, which will only be available at Mishka stores in NY, LA and Tokyo, with a handful also making it to the online store.

In celebration of Motivation’s 3 Year Anniversary, Mishka has collaborated with them on a set of t-shirts and a snapback hat. Motivation is located on the University of Michigan’s campus, and the designs take influence from the rich college football tradition of the school – with a unique Mishka twist. The ‘Scum Bowl’ pits Motivation against Mishka’s Death Adders in a battle for The Best of the Worst. The t-shirts and hat release in limited quantities on Saturday November 27, 2010 at Motivation.
