Mad Hectic, Mita Sneakers and New Balance present the MT580 in yet another colorway, following up on the previous August release. This time the MT580 comes in a grey/black colorway with a red flag lace tag. The sneaker will be released at Mita on November 3rd.

Once again Reebok and Mita Sneakers worked on a collaborative sneaker. This time they chose the Ex-O-Fit Hi S.G. Strap. As played out as the red/green Gucci inspired theme might be, we believe Mita Sneakers did some good material choice on these, using oestrich leather, perforated leather and canvas on the upper. The straps come in exotic leather and the white contrasting piping sets some nice accents. The sneaker will be released on October 3rd.

09/09/09 marks the release date of the NB 999 Feral Collection. The new collection stems from New Balance‟s goal to reinvent the brand‟s lifestyle footwear range from all-time classic favourites to modern silhouettes. Celebrating heritage, craftsmanship, innovation and imagination, New Balance Lifestyle fuses classic designs from the past with bold ideas from the future.

Part of the classic 99X series of running shoes that dates back to the early 80s, the 999 model was originally released in 1996 and was New Balance‟s most technologically advanced shoe at the time. For the 99X series celebrations running throughout 2009, the company has worked with key retailers Leftfoot (Singapore) and Mita Sneakers (Japan) to reintroduce this iconic New Balance model back into the market.

The NB Feral Creation Collection is an Asian Inspired collection for global release. The project first started back in 2007 with the NB 574 “Hungry Dragon”, whilst last year saw the project present the NB 576 “China Mask”. This year‟s edition stays true to the theme of Asia-inspired lifestyles and culture by drawing on various animals that have left their mark on our urban jungles.

The collection is divided into two sets, one from each retailer, consisting of an exclusive pair that is numbered and limited to 660 units worldwide, as well as general release version that will be more widely available. Each exclusive edition is interconnected with the underlying theme of the colour „grey‟, which is the original colour of the 999 and 99X series as well as New Balance‟s heritage colour.

The release consists of two Tier 1 releases and two Tier 0 releases. Check them out in detail after the jump.

Once again Mad Hectic, Mita Sneakers and New Balance get together to collaborate on the 580. This time they will release a navy/light blue/off white colorway of the iconic running shoe. Nice details include the speckled mid-sole, fading effect on the upper, the laces and of course the “Go! Hectic” flag on the laces. The sneaker will be released on September 12th.

As part of the Kirimori Project, Asics and Mita Sneakers got together once again to work this time on the “Tropical” Gel Lyte Speed. The running shoe comes with a grey base and several color accents on the upper. Nice are also the details in the mid-sole, matching the lining. Look out for a release on September 5th.

After the recent Atmos collaboration, we see yet another strong collaborative project by Reebok on their Ex-O-Fit Hi Strap. This time they worked with Japanese retailer Mita Sneakers and with Japanese clothing brands Cluct. The sneaker comes with a black upper, yellow details, as well as accents in shiny black. The heel features a “Clutch Fact” embroidery.

The Cluct x Mita Sneakers x Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Strap will be released on August 8th.

A new collaboration between Asics and Mita Sneakers will hit the market this September. The lightweight running shoe Gel-Lyte Speed is an evolution from the technologically equipped Gel-Light III from 1990. Gel-Lyte Speed, built to meet the demand of increasingly diversifying US runners looking for lightweight shoes, was launched in the US in 1991 and the following year in Japan.

The Gel-Lyte Speed features the split tongue construction; an idea put forward by a shoe developer at the Asics head offices in Kobe in 1988 to prevent the tongue from slipping inside while running. Long-distance runners started taking to this new idea, and the split tongue system was used in the Gel-Lyte III and later in the Gel-Lyte Speed.

The color tone of the 500-pair Gel-Lyte Speed limited edition, a collaboration with Mita Sneakers, was inspired by tropical fruits that bring to mind a comfortable, lightweight and cushioned run along a tropical island beach. The upper uses gradation to further fortify the summer feel. Some of the nylon materials in the upper were inspired by the cotton-woven fabrics often used in Hawaiian summer clothing. Tropical is a key word in this collection.

Once again Mita Sneakers is involved in a collaborative New Balance project. This time they got together with Sneaker Wolf to work on the MT576V “Metal Footers”. The sneaker has a Terminator look and thus features a metallic silver/grey upper. The laces have been replaced with three velcro straps and some accents are place on the sneaker in yellow. Lots of graphics decorate the toe box and rest of the upper.

Yet another new New Balance collaboration comes through Japanese retailer Mita, this time together with Hip Hop group Astro. Together they worked on the New Balance MT576S. The sneaker features a black suede/gold leather upper with tonal branding on the sidepanels and gold embroideries on the tongue. We definitely like the outcome of this collaboration, especially after the other recent Mita and New Balance collaborations were much more colorful.

The Astro x Mita Sneakers x New Balance MT576S will be released on May 23rd and comes with an Astro CD.

A while ago we presented to you the FRAT x Mita Sneakers New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake with a complete glow-in-the-dark upper. Today we came across another colorway of the sneaker, featuring different grey tones on the upper and the same light purple lining, as well as the same graphics on the tongue and the heel. The sneaker looks very nice, even though the graphics are a little too heavy for our taste.

This new colorway of the FRAT x Mita Sneaker New Balance MT576S Bamboo Rake is now available in the Samurai Shop.
