Today we can finally give you a more detailed look at the collaborative watches by G-Shock with Mr. Cartoon, Todd Jordan and Redman.

“To create the three new models, Casio has collaborated with a graphic artist, a photographer, and a hip-hop artist. The results are the Mr. Cartoon model (DW-6900MRC), the Todd Jordan model (DW-5600TOD), and the Redman model (AW-591RED).”

We especially like the Todd Jordan watch, which comes in a nice black/silver colorway with matching black screen and signature.

MetroPCS and Samsung got together with graffiti artist Mr. Cartoon to collaborate on the Samsung Messager phone. The limited edition Samsung Messager will be available to consumers in all MetroPCS markets. Mister Cartoon wallpapers, ringtones and animation are preloaded on the handsets with additional downloads available from the MetroPCS Web site. A portion of revenues generated from this MetroPCS and SA Studios Global initiative will go directly to funding community art centers, outreach programs for at-risk youth and art supplies for local Los Angeles schools, Mister Cartoon’s hometown. Additionally, the first ten phones in the series will be auctioned for charity on the MetroPCS Web site in the month of August.

After showing you yesterday the latest G-Shock August 2009 releases, we get a first look today at the Mr. Cartoon DW-6900 watch. The watch comes in a navy/grey colorway and features all-over graphics by the artist. According to WWD we can also expect collaborations with Redman and Todd Jordan soon.

The Nike x Livestrong project just keeps getting better and better. As the latest extension to the campaign, Nike has created custom bike seats that match up with each shoe in the Stages collection. As many of you know, Mr Cartoons’ Livestrong AF1 was released, and subsequently sold out, across the country this past weekend. As such, the first saddle to be revealed is laser engraved with Mister Cartoon’s “LA” icon and some of his signature swirls. Although Brooks Saddles were used for the visual presentation, the saddle itself is not part of the Livestrong collection and is not a collaboration with Brooks. Unfortunately these saddles won’t be produced. Stay tuned for a look at more saddles by the likes of Futura and Busy P.

Never released publicly, the original Mister Cartoon Air Force 1 was only available to select friends and family of Los Angeles’ most celebrated tattoo artist. Immediately acknowledged as an instant classic, die-hard collectors paid upwards of $3,000 for the limited pairs that made it outside. Comprehensively re designed by Mister Cartoon for this release, the new look AF1 again deploys Laser technology to provide the gritty graphics reflecting its city of origin.

Releasing along with the other high profile collaborative sneakers from the Nike Sportswear Livestrong Stages Collection, this might be your final chance to score the classic.

At the event in Los Angeles, Nike and Lance Armstrong did not only present his new Kaws and Barry McGee bikes, but also showed off some new Nike “Livestrong” sneakers, also designed by artists. We see an Air Force 1, a Dunk Hi and on the right a Footscape Woven. The Dunk Hi seems to have been designed by Futura, others by So_Me, Mr. Cartoon and other great artists. In May 2008, Upper Playground, celebrity tattoo artist Mister Cartoon, and photographer and director Estevan Oriol opened a series of four distinct retail locations in the Skid Row area of Downtown Los Angeles, including a pop up store that features a rotating theme of unique fashion and art concepts for short periods of time.
Beginning on August 14, 2008, the pop up space will be transformed into a tribute to film legends Al Pacino and Robert De Niro as part of their upcoming feature film from Overture Films titled “Righteous Kill.” The film will be released in theaters on September 12, 2008.
SA Studios Global, the creative agency of Oriol and Cartoon, was selected to create the film’s iconic poster, in addition to managing the street and grassroots marketing for the movie. The space will become the exclusive promotional headquarters for “Righteous Kill” and feature a tribute to the film’s stars. Highlights of the space include a customized movie poster wall of all of De Niro and Pacino’s films, and plasma screens throughout the room showcasing Oriol and Cartoon’s favorite scenes from Pacino and De Niro’s film repertoire.
In celebration of the film, SA Studios Global has also collaborated with Upper Playground, to create limited edition “Righteous Kill” apparel.

San Francisco-based apparel and art company Upper Playground, photographer and director Estevan Oriol and artist Mister Cartoon are excited to announce the unveiling of a series of four one-of-a-kind retail establishments in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles. Each storefront will offer customers a unique fashion and fine art experience. In celebration of the new properties, the three entities will host anopen house on Saturday, May 31, 2008 that will feature a special art exhibit and appearances from some of the world’s leading designers involved in the project.
Upper Playground is the pioneer of combining fashion and fine art. In celebration of the new store opening, there will be a special art exhibit featuring the works of Usugrow, Sam Flores, Jeremy Fish, David Choe, Herbert Baglione, San, Retna, Saber, Alex Pardee, Ron English, Doze Green, Slick, Armsrock and David Ellis. Many of the featured artists on display also contribute designs to Upper Playground’s apparel line.
In addition to Upper Playground, the new venture includes “The Last Laugh,” which will house the Mister Cartoon and Estevan Oriol retail experiences.
The fourth location involved in the new retail project will be a rotating concept that will house unique fashion and art concepts for short periods of time. During the open house, it will feature a display of custom motorcycles from 1998 AMA 250cc Champion-turned motorcycle designer Roland Sands and limited-edition fashion pieces from designer and model Tony Ward’s line, Six in the Face. From August through September the site will be transformed into a truly unique promotional experience for the upcoming feature film from Overture Films called “Righteous Kill” starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. SA Studios Global, the agency of Estevan Oriol and Mister Cartoon, was selected to produce the iconic poster for the film. Wow, not one store, but actually 4 ventures will be opened and it sure sounds like it is worth passing by once in a while. Even if not for the clothing, there seem to be many other reasons to check out the space. The hype around opening retail spaces in Los Angeles does not seem to find an end.

Mr. Cartoon and Super Rad Toys are about to release the third version of their Lost Angel toy – the Brown Pride Edition.

Tradition celebrates their first anniversary tomorrow night, February 2nd. For the occasion the store has not only planned an event and exhibition, they have also aligned some collaborations with some of the brands and people that they respect and carry in store.
They got together with artist Axis, with Mr. Cartoon and also with UNDR-CRWN. With each one they created a 1 year anniversary t-shirt that will be available as of tomorrow. Each t-shirt comes in several colorways.
