Vans OTW advocate Mr. Cartoon designs his version of the mid top Alomar sneaker. It comes in a navy leather version with lots of embroidery details spread out over the upper and a custom tartan lining. A release will be announced soon.

Vans OTW and Mr. Cartoon proudly present the Art of Lettering, a limited edition book featuring Cartoon’s personal photography, published by Eric Elms/And Press. The first in a series of forthcoming projects from Vans OTW advocates including Cartoon, Elms, Dimitri Coste and The Blackouts, the book was created in conjunction with Mr. Cartoons “Art of Lettering” seminar held in Los Angeles this summer. The seminar featured Cartoon discussing how lettering has impacted his life – from graffiti art to vintage sign painting and modern day low rider script as well as illustration airbrushing and his concepts of tattooing. The limited run of 818 books are available at select OTW retailers worldwide.

The CLOT x Disney ‘Man in the Forest’ Travelling Mickey exhibition recently had its first stop in Shanghai. CLOT asked a series of artists and designers to present custom versions of the iconic cartoon character. The line-up of participating artists includes Dr. Romanelli, Madsaki, Andre, Cassette Playa, Mr. Cartoon, Eric So, Mr. Azuma, CLOT themselves and other outstanding artists.

A life long b-boy, Set Free works as a cultural conduit, spending his days connecting brands to niche lifestyle. Throughout his journey, he’s collected as many stories as he has amassed sneakers (impressive), and with the “Set Free Minute” brings his experiences to life in short segments.

After offering up lookbook images this morning, we take a closer look at the Series Two Artist T-Shirts from the Stussy x Marvel Comics Collaboration. Inspired by iconic Marvel characters, James Jarvis (Thing), David Shrigley (Incredible Hulk), Todd James (She Hulk), Noah Butkus (Dr. Strange), Will Sweeney (Eternity), John K. (Crystal & Johnny Storm), Bill Plympton (Mystique), Gary Panter (Thor) and Mr. Cartoon (Spiderman) created the graphics for the series, which is now available from Stussy stores and Stussy.com.

The last installment of Vans OTW Advocate Video Series gives a little more insight into LA’s very own Mr. Cartoon. Enjoy.

With the end of the World Cup, the St. Alfred x Nike Sportswear Six Points space is gearing up to close down shop. The final project is a series of artist-designed soccer balls created by Cody Hudson, Mr. Cartoon, and Dzine that are the focus of a silent auction. Proceeds will be donated to the Urban Initiatives program, a local Chicago-based effort for helping youth succeed in society through the help of soccer. The auction is now underway and will finalize on July 17th at Six Points. Phone bids are accepted.

Most of you should remember the recent Nike Worldcup Collections, which consisted of artist collaborations with James Jarvis, So Me, Mr. Cartoon, Delta and Kronk, with each artist representing his country. Now Nike offers the Blazer Hi iD in a limited edition, featuring graphics by these very same artists. Only 500 pairs of each artist’s iD shoe are available, so if you want to work on your own colorway, featuring graphics by the above artists, you should do it soon.

This weekend Mr. Cartoon passed through the collaborative store between Nike Sportswear and Saint Alfred. The artist used the occasion to paint a wall and the gate. Also Mr. Cartoon created two t-shirt graphics for this event.
