Over the weekend we presented to you the “Devil’s Diciple” exhibition by Neckface, showing the largest offering of works by the artist to date. Today the book “The Devil Made Me Do It” by the artist has been released. The book features an introduction by fellow artist Kaws, an esseay by Carlo McCormick as well as photography by Erik Foss, Jerry Hsu, Ako Jefferson, Atiba Jefferson, Norman Lendzion, Athena Razo, Giovanni Reda and Chris Shonting. It is now available from O.H.W.O.W.

For several weeks already the Neckface solo show “Devil’s Diciple” at the O.H.W.O.W. space in Miami has been announced with creations of the artist being placed around the city. With much anticipation the show opened yesterday and we can already give you an extensive recap of the exhibition.

The show offers the most extensive look at the artist’s work to date. From paintings to sculptures and installations, Neckface worked on a large and impressive line-up for Devil’s Diciple. The artist also used his own hair on a sculpture and some of his family was hiding in a house created by the artist to scare the invited guests upon entrance, making the exhibition a real experience. Also a giant skatepark has been integrated into the exhibition, with everything covered in Neckface tags. One can definitely say that no artist before Neckface made such good use of the space that the gallery offers.

Neckface makes a big step in his artistic career with Devil’s Diciple and we already look forward to see his work in the future. Should you be in Miami in the near future, make sure to pass by.

Last Friday, NBC ran this story about an installation by Neckface at Miami’s O.H.W.O.W. gallery. Neckface’s forthcoming show “Devil’s Disciple” opens this Halloween night, October 31, 2009 at O.H.W.O.W. (3100 NW 7 Avenue, Miami, Florida.)

Eyewear label Brigada worked with renowned artist Neckface on a co-op pair of Andrew Reynolds’ signature Pazzo sunglasses. The shades feature a black and orange acetate frame with chrome studs and orange reflective lenses. The corresponding hard case is detailed inside and out with Neckface’s recognizable handstyle alongside an original character design. A matching reverse print t-shirt makes this “Closed Casket” release a pack. Now available at select Brigada retailers.

O.H.W.O.W. has announced the launch of their Vide-O-House video channel, bringing you creative community content from their community. First up will be episodes featuring Neckface, Michael Genovese and Rostarr. Make sure to check it out here.

American artist Neckface opens his second solo show in Copenhagen tonight. The latest exhibition from Nasty Neck entitled “Return To The Womb” takes places at V1 Gallery, with an opening vernissage on June 26th from 1700 to 2200. The show runs until September 25th, 2009.

aNYthing has once again worked with artist Neckface. This time they will be releasing a snapback cap. The black cotton cap features a Neckface graphic on the front, as well as a subtle logo hit on the back. There is no release date yet, but the cap should be coming out very soon.

VBS TV’s Epicly Later’d people caught up with Neckface. You do not catch him very often on a video interview, so its definitely worth checking out.

“Though I’m really happy to have him on the show, I’m sure this will be a hated episode. Graffiti writers hate Neckface because of how big he’s gotten, and probably most skaters hate him. I think people are jealous of his success. Well, I hope you enjoy meeting Neckface, and I hope he doesn’t go to jail because of me.”
