Another highlight from the upcoming New Balance Spring 2012 Collection has arrived at some retailers. The brand presents a solid looking black version of the M998 ‘Made in USA’ sneaker. Accents are set in a nice classic red, making it a perfect color combination on the crisp and clean white outer sole. Up There has them in stock already.

For this next Valentine’s Day, New Balance offers a way to show that special sneakerhead in your life how you really feel with these 996’s made just for that magical day. These sneakers feature some really theme fitting details such as the red suede upper, heart print insoles, a heart lace locks, and they even added ‘New Balance’ in some soft script writing on the tongue for good measure. You can scoop these up in the coming months.

For Spring 2012, New Balance once again worked with Burn Rubber on a pack of sneakers. They chose the 580, a running shoe that is especially popular in Asia, for the collaboration. As part of the pack the sneaker comes in two very solid colorways, using multiple materials on the upper and featuring an overall well balanced premium look. The pack consists of a blue collar and a white collar colorway.

Here comes an interesting new pack from New Balance, celebrating the 2012 Chinese Zodiac Year of the Dragon. The sneaker brand teamed up with Whiz from Japan, Invincible from Taiwan, Mita Sneakers from Japan, Limited Edt from Singapore and NPC from China, each creating a special colorway of the 574 running shoe for the Dragon Pack. While 4 colorways of the sneaker will release, these collaborations for now are only for display purposes, which is a real pity, because they are obviously much stronger than the actual release shoes.

Maybe New Balance changes their mind if you guys ask for a proper release. Check them all out after the jump.

In an interesting new collaboration, New Balance has teamed up with luggage brand Briefing and Japanese retailer Beauty & Youth by United Arrows. The two way collaboration includes a special colorway of the CM1700 running shoe and two bags by Briefing, all featuring collaborative branding. All pieces come in nice classic grey colorways with hints of red. In terms of bags the collaboration includes a waist bag and a larger size duffle/shoulder bag. Both the sneaker and the bags feature nylon/mesh and suede uppers.

A release of the pack is scheduled for January 2012 at Beauty & Youth.

New Balance and J.Crew continue to come out with new colorways of the 1400 running shoe. For Holiday 2011 the two brands present two new ones – mocha and wine. The dark brown mocha colorway features a black New Balance leather logo and the wine version comes with a navy New Balance leather logo application. Both are great colors of the Fall/Winter season and are now out in the J.Crew online store.

The other day we introduced you to the new New Balance 581 sneaker, which will first drop for Spring 2012. To give the new silhouette a bit of a push, New Balance has lined up a series of retailer collaborations, including Bodega from Boston, 24 Kilates Barcelona, Mita Sneakers Tokyo and Kasina from Seoul. All four have added their own little twists to the low top running shoe, with performance details.

These four collaborative sneakers are supposed to release in the first half of 2012, we will keep you posted.

New Balance definitely does not have a shortage of great styles in their arsenal, but the M1300 has to be one of their best. Come Spring 2012, we will see a couple of new Made in USA editions in some solid colorways including a rich navy color and of course, NB’s go to color of choice, good ol’ grey. As you can clearly see, these bad boys are made up of a suede and nylon mesh upper, another hallmark of New Balance. These are up for pre-order now at End Clothing.

If you follow sneakers, than you probably know that next year is the Chinese “Year of the Dragon” by the slew of footwear releases with themes inspired by that astrological symbol. New Balance has unveiled their efforts in commemoration of the year with this ML574 decked out in gold and red. The sneakers feature a dragon print throughout the upper that ties into the theme. These are available now over at Mita.

The collaboration between Japanese brand nonnative and New Balance continues. For early January 2012 they announce the release of the collaborative CM997 sneaker. A silhouette that one does not come across too often, it still remains to be one of our favorite. We really have to hand it to nonnative on these – the choice of color and materials is incredible. Unique, premium, unseen before, yet a perfect balance. The outcome is an elegant running shoe, featuring mesh, leather and suede on the upper. Only that hit of royal blue on the outer sole, distracts from the otherwise so clean sneaker.

The nonnative x New Balance CM997 releases on January 7th, 2012.
