We take an early look at the upcoming New Balance 581 low top sneaker. In our mind one of the most interesting additions by New Balance, the sneaker comes in solid colorways next season, featuring a suede, mesh and rubber upper. The shoe is basically constructed like a sock, allowing you to slip in and to tie it with a special fastening lace system. Nice accents include the speckled mid-sole, matching the lining, as well as the laces and logo tag on the tongue.

A great new colorway of the rarely seen New Balance CM997 has released this week. Coming with a clean grey suede and mesh upper, accents are set in red and navy on the sneaker. A grey suede New Balance is never wrong and they managed to keep a nice overall balance on the sneaker. We thought this colorway was only supposed to drop Spring 2012, but it seems like it came out early. Up There has it in stock now.

New Balance dishes out a nice themed Made in America M574 that referrs to the popular American Tall Tale about the lumberjack known as Paul Bunyan. This predominantly brown shoe features a gums sole, red laces and hits around the heel, plaid lining, and the letters “USA” emblazoned on the back of the heel. These are now available at Concepts.

Sneaker blog turned shop Nice Kicks have dropped a first look at their upcoming project with New Balance. Featured in colors that tie directly back to the Nice Kicks branding the 1500s look great in a mix of suedes and leathers. These are scheduled to release December 16, 2011.

Stussy, Mad Hectic and Undefeated get together on a collaborative sneaker with New Balance for Holiday 2011. The three brands worked on the CM996 running shoe. It comes in a navy/mustard colorway, with most of the upper featuring suede and mesh with close to no branding, aside from the lacelock. In Japan the sneaker will release on November 19th, 2011.

This week Ronnie Fieg’s Kith NYC will be opening their Downtown location, after just having recently opened their first store in Brooklyn. For the occasion the designer got together with New Balance to design two timeless versions of the Made in USA 574 running shoe. Priced at $135, the 36 pairs per colorway are made of premium pigskin for both uppers along with soft mesh for the toeboxes and quarters.

Both sneakers will release November 11th, 2011, at 10am at the new Kith NYC store.

New Balance presents an exclusive colorway of their classic 574 running shoe to commemorate the upcoming New York City Marathon, going down on November 6th, 2011. The sneaker comes in a black/yellow colorway with white outer sole. Make sure to check out the race this weekend if you are around.

New Balance has collaborated with Schuh to celebrate their 30th anniversary with a UK-made NB 577. ”With a retro design and premium feel the 577 has been produced in the New Balance Flimby plant in the UK for over 20 years with the reworked exclusives being no exception. Dropping mid November, the New Balance 577 Schuh 30 exclusives will be available online and from Schuh stores.”

Paying homage to Paul Bunyan’s trusted companion, Babe the Blue Ox, New Balance presents a blue suede and grey mesh 574 with creamy white accents. Proudly Made in the USA, this sneaker is part of NB’s American Tall Tales collection and is available now at select retailers.

Japanese retailer mita sneakers gets together with retailer Oshmann’s and New Balance to collaborate on the H710 hiking sneaker. The mid top sneaker comes in a black suede colorway with contrasting white stitching and features a mexican blanket fabric detail on the heel. The New Balance logo has been printed onto the side-panel and the outer sole has been given a bit of a vintage effect.
