For his new season, Benny Gold updated the color options and created a new paper airplane buffalo plaid for the classic Doughboy fitted. Originally released over a year ago, this hat is inspired by Ice Cube’s character from Boyz in the Hood and as such is kept real gangster with satin lining on the black hat, and a khaki material that has the same feel as a fresh pair of Dickies. LA’s premiere hat retailer Hall of Fame has teamed up with coast-to-coast clothing label Deadline to produce a New Era fitted. Bringing LA and NY together, the two veteran backed brands chose red on black and white on royal colorups, with a prominent Deadline logo on the front and a tonal Hall of Fame logo on the back. A Deadline chalk-outline logo on the underbrim completes the package. Available now in-store and online at HallofFameLTD.com

New York label Mishka has released their New Era Black Pack to the public. Consisting of black on black versions of their ever-popular Bear Mop, Death Adders, and Keep Watch fitteds, this former Mishka Store exclusive is now available at MishkaNYC.com

We presented you several pieces out of the TISA collection by Taz Arnold already. Most interesting this season is probably their collaboration with German leather goods brand MCM. Bringing back the classic MCM 80’s pattern, TISA will be introducing an entire collection of clothing. Today we can already give you a first look at the New Era caps, which come in two colorways.

Once again Upper Playground has dropped their monthly New Era caps. This month they worked with artists Jeremy Fish and Dennis Kennedy. The line-up consists of three caps, overall with a good balance in design, featuring some more colorful louder pieces and more subtle and classic caps.

Over the years we have seen many interesting projects from snowboard outerwear brand 686. For their Autumn/Winter 2008/09 season they once again present two collaborative projects, this time with Levi’s and Famous Stars And Straps.
Together with Famous Starts And Straps, 686 produced a full winter outerwear collection, consisting of beanies, New Era caps, hoodies, jackets and pants. The most prominent piece in the collection features a visual collage history of Famous.
The collaboration with Levi’s is more out thing, as it is more subtle and perfectly fuses the technological know-how of 686 and the heritage design of Levi’s, using breathable materials as well as Levi’s rivets and stitching details on all pieces. Also several pieces use actual Levi’s denim.
