This holiday season, Mishka is offering three New Era silhouettes – two of which were customized exclusively for the brand. The flagship MiG Aviator New Era, inspired by mid century Soviet air-force uniforms, anchors the new holiday hat collection and is available in grey houndstooth and black tweed wool. The second custom silhouette for Mishka by New Era is the Gein Hunter Cap. Constructed out of durable nylon and toasty houndstooth, it is engineered to withstand the winter elements by way of corduroy ear flaps. Rounding out the Mishka holiday hat collection is the Cyrillic 5-Panel New Era. Made out of Melton Wool with a leather adjustable strap, the 5-panel is assembled in a variety of primary hues.

In their latest delivery for Fall 2009, HUF offers a selection of well-designed t-shirts and headwear. Up top we see a waxed cotton “H” New Era in two monochromatic color schemes, while the cool weather-inclined ‘Disaster Crew’ flap cap is offered in three variations. The new T-shirts explore common subject matter with prominent HUF logo placements. In the mix are several SF and LA flagship exclusive tees – the Golden Gate bridge print being SF only, and the Sunset Blvd image restricted to LA. To help keep warm this coming winter, Commonwealth is releasing a couple of new 59Fifty Dogear fitteds. New Era Japan introduces the Pillbox Cap. The cap is an all-time classic and known for being the on-field cap of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The cap comes in two colorways and is now available in Japan.

With the colder weather closing in quickly, we’re all looking for new ways to keep warm and dry. HUF offers a look into the second delivery of their Fall 2009 collection. The release focuses heavily on the “Dirtbag Crew” theme that has run through releases past. Garments such as hoodies, 2-tone crews, flannels (including a sherpa lined variation), chambrays, field shirts, various t-shirts, duck canvas New Eras and the usual 5 panels, snapbacks and beanies makeup the release. Available tomorrow, October 24th at HUF SF and HUF LA.

With trapper New Eras running rampant this season, Japanese label SASQUATCHfabrix previews one of the most luxurious versions we’ve seen. Taking cues from the O.G. hats worn by actual fur trappers, the cap sports genuine rabbit fur earflaps over a nicely textured grey wool. An SF logo plays close to San Francisco, but in fact references the SASQUATCHfabrix brand name. Available this season at select retailers.

Amongst Friends have released their latest selection of New Era fitteds. The drop includes their short-billed Umpire cap in blue cashmere with a navy leather visor and button, the AF Trapper in navy and red corduroy with white sherpa lined earflaps, and finally, the Classic in soft grey and navy wool. Crooks & Castles presents their Holiday 2009 Collection entitled “Strange Wilderness”. As with most brands that have been labelled “streetwear” over the years, this season shows a markedly more mature approach with a heavy mix of classic workwear and hunting inspired garments. The brand keeps a healthy dose of it’s prominent logo applications, though the look is approached from a very collegiate angle. Outerwear and button down shirts are highlights, while items such as sherpa lined ear flap New Eras stay the course.
