New Era’s answer to the trend in more classic headwear is their EK Collection. The Japanese market has of course been quicker in adapting the styles and offers a full line-up of classic hats in refreshing material combinations and with modern accents.

The new Fall/Winter 2011 Collection of EK is looking very nice, playing with plaids, camouflage patterns and solid colors in premium materials. If the brand could now get to the point of entirely removing the New Era logo from the hats, we would be 100% happy with the collection, but you cannot have it all.

A Bathing Ape and New Era present a new cap for Fall 2011. The Two-Tone Panel Cap comes with patch embroideries on the front and back, as well as further embroidery details under the brim. Two colorways of the cap are now available at Bape stores.

Alec Baldwin and John Krasinski are back at it again, this time taking their rivalry to the next level.

Two solid looking caps come from a collaboration between Japanese brand Unused and New Era for Fall/Winter 2011. The caps feature a wool felt upper with no further distractions, resulting in a great premium look. Also the choice of grey and beige colorways add to the premium appeal of the collaboration. The caps will release October 2011 at Zozograndh.

Medicom Toy is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a dedicated exhibition. For the occasion they got together with a couple of lifestyle brands on anniversary product.

The collection includes Bape, Stussy and Hysteric Glamour t-shirts, as well as Oakley Frogskin sunglasses, New Era 59Fifty fitted caps, a tote bag and cushion and flip flop sandals.

In addition to the Vans Vault x Frank’s Chop Shop 106 LX sneakers, Vans and Frank also created a matching New Era 59Fifty fitted cap featuring a checkerboard lining (see it in our gallery) and a custom Off the Wall silhouette made from real grip tape. The product is now available exclusively at Frank’s Chop Shop and select Vault by Vans accounts in the USA. A release party will take place tonight at The Box in Manhattan featuring music from DJ Stretch Armstrong.

Continuing to work with some of the most high profile brands from Japan, Sense Magazine expands their Black Sense Market range for Spring/Summer 2011. Together with uniform experiment and Sophnet they present new 8-panel baseball caps. Featuring wool uppers, the caps come with grey 3D embroideries on the front panels and tonal New Era logo embroideries on the side. The caps are now both available here.

Brazilian fashion designer Alexandre Herchcovitch has worked with New Era Brazil on a small collection of 59FIFTY fitted caps for Summer 2011. The outcome is a line of 4 caps, using special materials, prints and graphics on the iconic cap silhouette.
