Benny Gold gives us a look at his upcoming spring New Era offering.  Inspired by classic varsity jackets the caps feature leather brims and buttons, felt embroidery and college pennant side details. The colors reference the colors of Notre Dame, USC Trojans and the Miami Hurricanes. These hats will be available with the rest of the Benny Gold Spring/Summer 2011 collection this April.

BAPE presents their latest New Era cap, entitled ‘World Gone Mad.’ Super weird and colorful comic book imagery over a black wool base. What’s more to say? Check your local BAPE doors.

In an interesting collaboration EK by New Era has gotten together with DJ Muro and S-Sword to collaborate on two hats for Spring 2011.The two products celebrate the opening of the first New Era flagship store in Japan on February 26th. The hats will be exclusive to the new New Era Tokyo flagship and to the New Era online store.

Japanese brand Markaware presents these new “Smiley” New Era 59fifty fitted caps for Spring/Summer 2011. The cap comes in two colorways. We like the overall simple design of them and they will be a nice addition to any summer outfit. Via Mensnonno.

New Era presents the 19Twenty Cooperstown Collection of custom fitted baseball caps styled after 1920’s “newsboys” hats. The caps feature a loose fitting, unstructured crown top and shorter brim than today’s 5950 fitted. Available in NY Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals versions at Nomad. The EK by New Era Collection has not only nicely developed, but of course finally finds its demand from the current market, which is still very heritage and quality focused. We remember when the line was first introduced a couple of years ago and it did not find many fans. In the mean time the styles, quality and market have moved into the right direction.

For Spring/Summer 2011 the EK by New Era Collection looks solid. Especially their Series 81 premium offering, featuring oestrich leather and other interesting materials, caught our eyes.

Japanese label SOPHNET details their first uniform experiment release of the season. Highlighted by a collaborative MA-1 Jacket with Alpha, the line up also includes printed button-downs, damaged mod parkas and pea coats and a vintage 8 panel New Era cap, all drawing inspiration from UK youth culture and the theme “England’s Dreaming.” Watch for a release shortly.

We’ve shown you the mainline collection and the Porter bags, now here’s a look at the final portion of the Original Fake Spring/Summer 2011 collection: collabs with New Era, Loopwheeler and Gallery 1950. The new releases follow a similar path we’ve seen from Original Fake in the past with a Loopwheeler zip-up hoodie, New Era cap, and Gallery 1950 bath towel – all with familiar Kaws icons throughout.

Bread & Butter is just around the corner and once again the biggest European fashion tradeshow ensures not to be confused with anybody else in this game. Their Sport & Street division collaborated for the upcoming show with Clae. The US footwear brand celebrates their 10th anniversary in 2011 and thus it was the perfect occasion for the two to get together. They chose the Romare Hi and took this season’s Bread & Butter Sport & Street “Winter Village” theme as inspiration. The outcome is a solid looking suede brown mid top sneaker with nice embroidery accents. The sneaker will be released next week, with only 10 of the overall 100 pairs being sold to the public.

Matching this beautiful sneaker, Bread & Butter “Sport & Street” also worked with New Era on an earflap version of their iconic 59Fifty fitted cap.  The cap features a wool green upper with patch embroidery and brown earflap.

We present the first drop from the BBC/Ice Cream Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. Included in the release is the Deep Space Varsity Jacket, new sneakers, bags, cushions, a New Era cap, a camouflage riders jacket and hoodie, as well as some more graphic based pieces and accessories. The products will be released at BBC/Ice Cream retailers January 2nd.
