Today we present one of the most impressive items from the NEXUS VII Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, first previewed in their current season lookbook earlier this week – the Shield Pocket Riders Jacket.

The Japanese brand was inspired by the classic riders jacket, yet used a completely different construction and added loads of details to it, in the form of zippers, zipper hangers, patches, buttons and more.

Matching the theme of their new Spring/Summer 2011 “You Are My Sunshine” Collection that we just presented yesterday, we take a look today at the collaboration between NEXUSVII(R) and Porter for the new season. The capsule collection consists of a backpack, several tote bags and a messenger bag, all coming with a Hawaii inspired all over design, leather accents and special label tags.

Japanese brand NEXUSVII presents their new Spring/Summer 2011 Collection Lookbook. The line, entitled “You Are My Sunshine” has a military inspiration, yet in a different way than usual. Rather than concentrating on the brutal sides of war, the brand took the homecoming to the Hawaiian islands as a reference point and for inspiration.

“Once upon a time, there were many soldiers dropped by Hawaii on their way back from the intense survival war to be healed physically and mentally before they go back to the mainland. The perpetual summer weather and the nature of Hawaii heals their mental and make them realize how silly the war is. And as they are recovered their composure from the wound, some of them ordered custom made clothes based on their equipments that they brought back from the war combined with the local fabric that they found in Hawaii sarcastically. Or some of them ridiculed the war by ordering to transform their accustomed belongings into some souvenirs such as bags and accessories for their lovers and family who were waiting for them to come back to the mainland. It was their way to express their mind of Anti-war by transforming their Military supplies to something different while they were praying for the peaceful future with the ones they love…….”YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE”.”

Once again NEXUSVII shows their immaculate sense for details in the collection. Look out for pieces from the line to drop over the course of the next months.

An interesting new oxford shirt has been released from the NEXUS VII Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. The most interesting details are for sure the collar construction and the arm pit ventilation details, as well as front chest pocket. The shirt comes in navy, grey, white and blue and is now available from NEXUS VII retailers.

Japanese brand NEXUS VII presents their new Windstopper Galle Mid Hooded Jacket for Spring/Summer 2011. The jacket comes in a military green colorway, featuring subtle graphics on parts of the upper by French glass artist Emile Galle. The outcome is a special, yet not overloaded jacket in terms of graphics, with a good amount of technical features.

For Spring/Summer 2011 Timberland has teamed up with Japanese brand Nexus 7 on the Chukka Boot Mid. A nice mix of black premium leather and khaki canvas is featured on the upper, while the lining comes in the classic Timberland orange. A white Vibram outer sole makes for a solid finish. Once again Goerge Cox has teamed up with Japanese brand NEXUS VII to work on some footwear for Spring/Summer 2011. The slip-on leather shoe comes in three bi-tonal colorways, each featuring an embossed star on the upper. Look out for these in the coming months. Image via Smart Magazine March 2011 Issue.

A beautiful new crewneck sweater has been created by Loopwheeler for fellow Japanese brand NEXUS VII. The grey melange looks great and the red cuff tag is a nice contrasting accent. The sweater comes as part of the NEXUS VII Spring/Summer 2011 Collection and should be released soon.

NEXUS VII presents from their Spring/Summer 2011 the Repaired 44 Denim, a truly reproduced pair of 1944 vintage denim. The Japanese brand wanted to perfectly imitate the worn feel and look of the denim and included details such as the star embroidery on the back pocket and leather patch on the back.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, Japanese brand Nexus VII presents the Ultimate Hoodie II, an update to last season’s hoodie. Produced by MARUWA Textile Industries Co., Ltd. using tightly knitted sweatshirt material horizontally to avoid loosing its shape. Further details can be found on the zipper and the cuffs, resulting in an overall premium hoodie.
