Perhaps paying homage to Cypress Hill, Japan’s NEXUSVII reworked Dents‘ traditional handsewn leather gloves with a green thumb. Otherwise (besides a small purple NEXUSVII tag) these stay true to the original with a Dents fastener at the wrist and three handsewn points on the back.

Nexus VII impresses us every season over again. A couple of pieces from their Fall/Winter 2008 collection have been released today. A nice and solid down vest is coming from Nexus VII this season. It comes in black and in hounstooth and we especially like that it is buttoned, instead of a zipper. Also the vest comes with Windstopper material, making sure that you are warm this Fall.

In recent years Nexus VII has always come out with "Does It Better" slogan t-shirts for special occasions. Their VLACK flagship store will open in Osaka tomorrow and for the occasion they made the "Madonna Does It Better" t-shirt, another great one in the line-up. 
The t-shirt comes in two colorways and will be available as of tomorrow at VLACK and also at L’Intrus.

Japanese favorite Nexus VII has basic theme going for their Fall/Winter 2008 t-shirt collection. Take a black base. Add a front graphic. Kick it up with a bolder back graphic. Sounds typical. In this case, there’s more. Each shirt plays on a different theme and explores different typography. Amazingly, this is achieved without losing sight of brand image.

Japan’s Nexus VII has some rather interesting new product lined up for fall ‘08. Specifically, two pieces printed on garments from famed American brands. The tee above comes on Brooks Brothers stock, while black and white polo shirts are printed on, you guessed it, Polo. Rounding out the items are some great military inspired garments, including trousers modeled after dress uniform. Socks and lighters are also coming. (via R*Izm).

This past weekend the Vanish Project by Nexus VII was launched. The project consists of several high profile collaborations.
One series of luggage was done by Nexus VII, Stussy S.F. and Porter. It consists of a messenger bag, backpack, waist bag and some bi-fold wallets, all featuring a large vintage all-over print.
Another part of the project consists of a Original Fake x Stussy S.F. x Porter daypack, which comes in the already familiar Kaws cross eye pattern.
The product is available at Stussy S.F. as well as Nexus VII stores in Japan.

Three new t-shirts are available from Japanese favorite Nexus VII. Nina Simon gets recognition on the N.S.D.I.B. 1 design. Both the “Vote Miles” and “Lie” utilize simple text to bold effect. The “Lie” tee features a nice play on the LIFE magazine logo. Both the “Lie” and “Vote Miles” tee share the same graphic print on the back.

Nexus VII has consistently come out with strong pieces and always goes for nice details and a high standard in quality. Their Gore-Tex jackets also always nicely merged classic styles with innovative materials and features. For the Original Fake Spring/Summer 2008 collection they once again get together with Nexus VII on some denim, this time the Parmanent Denim. It comes in raw Japanese selvedge in black and indigo colorways. On the backpockets the signature crosses by Kaws are embroidered, there is a little stash pocket on the back and the print Multiple Maniax & Technix” goes over the left leg. These have been released now in Japan.

Nexus VII, even though around for many years, has really only attracted our attention in the last couple of years. Their subtle and smart design and talent of giving a classic piece something special, is very impressive and something we learned to appreciate. A perfect example for that is their latest release, the B.D.W. shirt, which comes in a black/white check pattern. The work they did on the collar is brilliant. Simple, yet something you do not come across every day and a sharp look. Pic via Figure.

We are hoping that with the increased international attention, the brand will soon be available at some stores outside of Japan!

Japanese brands Nexus VII and Porter got together again and present a woven leather wallet. Would we not know that it is Nexus VII, we would have guessed Bottega Veneta, the Italian luxury goods house that made their name famous with this woven style.

Just last week we reported about Sold Out now also carrying Japanese premium brand Nexus VII. They received after the first batch of t-shirts now some more of their Fall/Winter 2007 collection. One of the most exciting pieces is the Original Fake collaboration rugby shirt. It comes in all black and features the iconic Kaws “cross eyes” on the collar. Otherwise it stays very classic.

This is good news, Sold Out released today their first Nexus VII items. We have reported about the Japanese brand for a while already and enjoy very much their subtle and smart styles, while always adding a twist or technical detail.
For now they only carry t-shirts, but it’s a few good ones, and it let’s us hope for the rest of the Nexus VII collection, that to date was pretty much impossible to come by in the US or Europe.

We just reported about the new Original Fake Chompers Gore-Tex Jacket and here we present you now the new Nexus VII Pinstripe Gore-Tex Jacket. The Winter season can come now and we are sure that more interesting technical shells will come from Visvim and W)Taps later this season.
The Nexus VII Gore-Tex Jacket has more dressy feel, as it is pinstripe and otherwise kept really simple. The jacket has a satin inner lining and is basically modeled after an Italian suite. The Nexus VII Autumn/Winter 2007 collection has the theme “Al Pacino”, so we could not imagine a better jacket to fit under this theme. The jacket is available in black and in grey. Other nice details include several pockets, a tonal logo embroidery on the sleeve and the cuff strap.
