From Pitti Uomo and our brothers at Selectism comes a preview of the second season of the Nigel Cabourn for Eddie Bauer collection.

“Specialty fabrics developed in the 1970’s by Woolrich for Eddie Bauer get a second life. British millerain sites against 1970’s Bauer textiles in various forms. The Trapper jackets are standouts looks.

One note for those that still wonder on the price point of the collection: consider that the quilted parkas are hand stuffed and require more than five hours of work for each garment to produce. Cabourn refuses to compromise and we’re happy to see that Eddie Bauer agrees.

If you have footwear that looks better with frequent usage and age, but do not have the patience to get them to achieve that nice patina or distressed look, Nigel Cabourn and Viberg have these Service Boots that can assist you there. The light brown suede upper features some stains and signs of wear throughout the exterior, with even the midsole showing signs of dirt/filth. Hopefully the inside and outsole are fresher than the outside of the shoes suggest. These are available exclusively at Barney’s.

Once again Nigel Cabourn has worked with Yuketen to produce some quality footwear as part of his Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Mid top and high top boots, mixing premium brown leather with beautiful wool fabrics make up the small capsule collection.

Based on military designs in the famous Cabourn Archives, this shoulder bag is inspired by Army Satchels used in Burma during the Second World War. The mixture of olive canvas, leather and authentic bespoke Harris Tweed works well.  End has stock.

According to Selectism, the Nigel Cabourn Cameraman jacket has “entered into blog folklore now. It’s one of those ’so near yet so far’ pieces that people love to drool over, but loathe (or just can’t afford) to pull the trigger on. Cabourn’s done a number of colourways for autumn and this cream one is our favourite. Now all we have to do is find someone to buy it for us.” Four different colors are now available through End.

If you’ve got over a G to spend on a new duffel coat this season, Nigel Cabourn may very well be your man. This heavy weight hooded duffel coat is constructed of 100% wool and features the standard toggle-front closure with two button-down hip pockets and adjustable button-down cuff straps. Available in all navy at Opening Ceremony.

While Mr. Cabourn’s handy-work is usually left for the realm of Selectism, we felt this specific jacket had enough “street” flair to work over here. “The Rangoon jacket is without doubt one of the standout pieces of this season, and like the Camerman jacket before it, it must be seen to be believed. Featuring a bottom half made of premium cotton and an upper half, based on WWII military smocks, constructed of naturally beeswax coated cotton, with an unsurpassed level of detailing.” Details galore. Horn buttons, leather hood adjusters, military clip fastenings and the beeswax coating that gives off unique, natural results such as lighter spots and streaks.
