The Think Silly crew has uploaded an interview with A Bathing Ape founder Nigo. They mainly talk about international expansion, as well as taking the Bape events international, after the recent success of the Bape Heads Show in Hong Kong.
Nigo also mentions, that the Busy Workshop in London, will be transforming into a large scale Bape flagship store in the near future. Something to be looking out for!

After his recent appearance in Portfolio Magazine, Nigo now made it onto the cover of GQ Japan’s latest issue together with the boss of the Japanese e-commerce platform Rakuten.

Google has now officially launched the iGoogle Artist Themes and they got lots of great designers and artists on board for the release. In their first offering you can find themes by Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar De La Renta, Nigo, Jeff Koons, Starck, Tezuka Osamo and many other well respected artists.

The Bape LA store opens this week and last night they celebrated the occasion of the opening. Lots of celebrities showed up, including N.E.R.D., Nigo, Takashi Murakami, Mike Tyson, Dr. Romanelli and many more.
Thanks to Supertouch we can give you a look at the new store, the people that were at the opening and also the Bape L.A. exclusive Roadsta sneaker, which comes in an orange/purple colorway.

Teriyaki Boyz, the Japanese band by Nigo, has just released their latest video – Zock On! The track features Pharrell and Busta Rhymes and was produced by The Neptunes. Portfolio.com’s November issue interview with Nigo, entitled,“Fashion’s Next Big Bang” is a fairly revealing look into the world of Bathing Ape’s head honcho, Nigo, a Japanese man through and through who is living a scene out of the 1988 Tom Hank’s movie “Big”. Here is a preview of some interesting new Billionaire Boys Club Ski Mask beanies that will be dropping soon. The line-up consists of three styles, giving you the robot look. These beanies are super limited. In the US there will only be 7 pieces of each style, split between Commonwealth and the BBC Online Store.

We announced it to you a couple of days ago and now one day after the opening we can finally show you some pictures of the new BBC/Ice Cream flagship store in Hong Kong. The store is definitely impressive and seams much bigger than the first one, that they opened in Tokyo last year. It is centrally located on Hong Kong and has several stories. Just like all Bape stores, the new BBC/Ice Cream store has also been designed by Wonderwall. This second BBC/Ice Cream flagship store will be followed by a NYC flagship later this fall. We will report about that when we have more info.

The sunglasses designed by Pharrell Williams and Nigo a while back, called the Millionaire, have now been relaunched by Louis Vuitton in some fresh new colorways. They released them recently in a light blue colorway, purple and again in black. For those of you that missed out, here is your chance again. But if you cannot get them in a Louis Vuitton store, then be prepared to pay a chunky premium.
