Rad Collector has a look at a new Nigel Sylvester BMX sneaker from Nike 6.0. “Dubbed as “Chocolate, but for your feet,” Nigel hooked this kick up from top to bottom with black on black detailing, stingray leather swooshes in alternating gold and black, and an ice gel toe bumper with quilted purple lining, what?! Not bananas enough – the right foot has a toe box sewn in ostrich leather while the left is pure croc.” Drops next Monday.
The much anticipated project by The Selby and Nike 6.0 has come to a conclusion and we can finally have a look at the work. The Selby traveled the world to shoot Nike 6.0 athletes, including Garrett Reynolds, Nigel Sylvester and many more. Check out one of the videos here below.

Nike 6.0 worked with photographer Todd Selby on a Fall/Holiday 2009 campaign. His personal project theselby.com, is simply a collection of “interesting people in their creative spaces.” In this vein, Selby shot Nike 6.0 riders Garret Reynolds, Mason Aguirre, James Stewart, Nigel Sylvester, Michel Bourez, and Ben Horan in their hometowns dipped in fresh 6.0 apparel. The works will appear in Nike 6.0’s print ads as well as on a special mini-site dedicated to the project at nike6.com/clothes. Above is wakeskater Ben Horan, shot at his home in Nahunta, GA.
Stay tuned to Rad Collector for more from this exciting project.
Nike 6.0 hooked up their new Braata model with custom artwork by the artist Stinkween. “Done up in an electric green, purple, yellow, and black with glow in the dark laces and a clear sole laid over custom artwork by Stinkween, the Stinkween Braata will hit in super limited quantities right in time of the US Open of Surfing. These joints will get you noticed. Jack’s Surfboards has just put them up for pre-order here.”

We give you an exclusive preview of the Nike 6.0 BMX Film that will be debuting in San Diego on November 22nd. Our man Nigel Sylvester is of course one of the main characters in the film, certainly something to be looking out for!
We present you an interesting new truck that was designed by Nike 6.0 and entitled the "Ill Mobile".
"The 8-wheeled ill-mobile is capable of crossing deserts, climbing mountains and taking the team to any secret spot. Racks for bikes, surfboards, wakeboards, skateboards, mean going anywhere for any scene. There’s an on deck bbq for grilling up fresh meat, a deluxe camper shell salvaged from a junkyard in remote corner of Oregon and a basement couch for a front seat.
Rails to grind are featured on both sides, and a quarter pipe folds down for impromptu sessions. The stereo system requires 2 car batteries, a set of jumper cables and a little luck, but once it’s blasting, it’s like a stick of dynamite in your eardrum."
Nike 6.0 is right now looking for a proper name for the Ill Mobile, you can leave ananswer here.
After the jump more images of the vehicle.
Following in the footsteps of big brother SB, nike 6.0 is adding some punk influence to the range. Working with Chicago’s Alkaline Trio, the Heart and Sole, takes color cues from the Bulls and graphic pointers from the groups album covers. The base for the release is the air zoom cush. On June 27th it will be available in limited numbers (with matching messenger bag at Jack’s in Huntington Beach), with a pre-sale starting June 19th. Look out July 11 for full national roll out.
After the jump many more detailed images.
The addition of a new sport to the summer Olympic line up is always exciting. In 2004, women’s wrestling gained the support of the IOC. 2008, we see the inclusion of BMX. While the new sport of 2004 was great for the Title 9 set, BMX is another step in mainstreaming fringe sports and incorporating the "extreme" with the long standing traditional activities practiced by the Greeks.
To celebrate BMX’s move into the games, Nike 6.0 Celebrated in Bejing last week with The Lightening Bolts Art Show and BMX exhibition. Nike team riders, along with BMX legends Eddie Fiola and Brian Blyther, hit the custom built ramps. In addition, contemporary artists shared their vision and passion for the sport Among them was Michael Lau, who remembered the importance of BMX in his own childhood.
Nike also honored Bob Haro, recreating his famous number plate as an artists canvas.
See that, and more, after the jump.
After Nike SB introduced a while ago their Bear Pack, in collaboration with Medicom, we thought that was it for a while with the teddy bear look. But it’s not the case. The Nike action sports label, Nike 6.0, now put out a new Air Morgen, which also gets the fur treatment and in this case even the swoosh comes in fur.
We are not sure how practical the material is on a BMX, but it certainly is an eyecatcher. It has been released today at Zozo.
