By now you should all have heard about Nike’s takeover of the French Football Federation sponsorship. A week ago we presented the Nike Sportswear FFF Collection and the matching footwear, consisting of a nice series of casual clothing and sneakers. Here we present now the illustrated lookbook which has been produced around the Spring 2011 Collection. The illustrations feature Mamadou Sakho, Florent Malouda, Guillaume Hoarau and Alou Diarra, all wearing the Nike Sportswear FFF Collection.

“Nike Sportswear presents AMERICAN MADE, a four part documentary series starring Swedish NBA player Jonas Jerebko & Sweden’s most internationally known urban music artist Adam Tensta. This is a film about two young Swedes, who buck “jantes law” and are pushing their game to a new level. The documentary also features appearances from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrik Zetterberg, Obie Trice, Ben Wallace, Niklas Lidström & Juan Atkins.” Enjoy the trailer.

From the Nike Sportswear Pinnacle Collection the new Beta Destroyer Jacket has been released. The jacket features a slightly different construction from the Destroyer that we have seen in the last couple of seasons and has been released in black/grey and black/black, mixing wool and leather. Haven (storeguide) has both in stock now.

Nike Sportswear partnered with New York designer Steven Alan to inject four signature Nike styles with Alan’s autograph “classic with a twist” aesthetic.

“Visiting the Nike archives, Alan was drawn to the Air Zoom Toki, Air Max Talache Low AC, Air Zoom Lava Dome, and Air Zoom Magma AC. He then stripped each performance-based style down to its basic form before adding his famous detailed sensibility.

These materials consist of premium suede and canvas materials in minimalist urban tones ranging from grey, black, and white to caramel, dark cinder, and obsidian. Avant-garde elements come courtesy of nuances like the innovative Dynamic Fit ankle insert found on the Air Zoom Toki x Nike Sportswear x Steven Alan, the pops of color placed on the Air Zoom Lava Dome x Nike Sportswear x Steven Alan, and the unique side-ankle zip that complements the Air Zoom Magma x Nike Sportswear x Steven Alan.”

Nike Sportswear x Steven Alan footwear will be available exclusively at Steven Alan locations and www.stevenalan.com starting January 20th, 2011.

After previewing it a while back, we can give you a look at the full line-up of the new Nike Sportswear Lunar Orbit+ for Spring 2011. The interesting new low top sneaker will drop in three colorways, featuring a breathable 3-layer mesh upper, asymmetrical zip, and raised geometric upper to increase air flow with limited surface contact on the foot. Also the sneaker features added reflective panels. All three colorways are now available from Kix-Files.

Nike is celebrating their new partnership with the French Football Federation (FFF). The NSW line presents next to some staple t-shirts, sweaters, polos and more, several outstanding signature pieces, including the FFF Destroyer Jacket and M-65 technical shell jacket in a beautiful navy oxford colorway.

“The collection is inspired by the values of French football off and on the field of play. The “Nos differences nous unissent” slogan (translated as, “Our differences are what unites us”) commemorates that spirit, while recurring red, white and blue shades evoke the national colors throughout.

Clean typefaces, attention-to-detail, constant classicism, bold team numbering, cotton French terry sweats and caps together with patch branding that’s effective but unobtrusive. Cotton twill and tonal graphics give the legendary N98 Track Jacket give it a new look that merges with local style as well as a sporting legacy. The M65 Jacket in a nylon Oxford cloth will perform in wet weather, but the removable Velcro crest branding and French inspired patterning on the lining offers something entirely different.”

From the upcoming Nike Sportswear x Kobe Bryant Capsule Lifestyle Collection, entitled “K.O.B.E.” (Know, Originate, Battle, Elevate), we present the Destroyer varsity jacket. It comes in a black/white colorway with several patches and embroideries transporting the theme of the collection. PHANTACi will be releasing the jacket today.

Nike Sportswear presents a new China exclusive, celebrating the country’s new year – the “Year Of The Rabbit” Tennis Classic.

“The shoe will be available in two different colorways for men and wowen: Both pairs using the popular white to interpreting the rabbit, with added of red as a symbol of praying for good luck as well as the rabbit’s eye. Metallic gold is used on the men’s model to represent wealthy while metallic red is for the women’s model. Only available at select Nike Sportswear stores in Mainland China and Hong Kong.”

After having presented yesterday the new black/beige Nike Sportswear Destroyer Jacket, we can present today the excellent Hayward Trench Coat. Once again Nike Sportswear proofs their excellent ability of re-appropriating a classic, adding more technical details to it, while keeping branding little and clean. The trench coat comes with a small pouch, in which it can also be packed away. The beige version of the trench is already available from the Nike Store.

Continuing on from the ‘Destroy To Create’ event, “the jacket is complimented by an original, hand-signed and numbered print from Harry Malt incorporating a destroyed image of The Gallows’ incredible live performance at 1948; as well as a beautifully crafted metal pin badge designed by Duffy, who made a similar version by melting down parts of one of Mark Cavendish’s bikes –
all housed in a premium display case with leather and wool detailing, echoing the material treatments of the Destroyer.”
