As part of the AF1 Silver Service installation at Dover Street Market, the Wilson Brothers (Ben and Oscar) have created a traditionally lugged, steel–framed fixed wheel bicycle. This bespoke, hand-crafted piece draws inspiration from the track and captures the essence of what’s happening on the streets today. The bicycle has been added to the curation at Dover Street Market which celebrates 25 years of the iconic Air Force 1. Via Sneaker Freaker.

Nike Cortez Vintage Leather

RTEmagicC cortez vintage.jpg Nike Cortez Vintage Leather
In 1968 Nike and Onitsuka Tiger released Tiger Corsair, shortly after in 1972 it was re-released as the Cortez after the partnership between Nike and Onitsuka Tiger disintegrated. It featured total “toe to heel” cushioning, an innovation in training shoes for runners (at least in comparison to the thin-soled, rock-hard training shoes that predated the Corsair). This remake is of the original leather Cortez with a  full leather upper, rubber reinforced toe unit, original cortez sole and classic “Swoosh”.
The Nike Cortez Vintage Leather comes in three colorways and is available at Hanon.

After first introducing the Air Trainer 2 SB with the Supreme NYC collaboration, Nike SB now launches the sneaker as part of their regular line and here is the first colorway. The shoe comes in the usual mix of materials in a anthracite/reflective silver colorway. The swoosh comes in 3M reflective material. Otherwise they kept it subtle and added small details such as the exotic black leather and the sprinkled mid sole.
Epect the Nike Air Trainer 2 SB to drop in stores in February. After the jump many more detailed images.

Nike Air Zoom Talache Mid

24 January 2008, 21.49 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »

Nike Air Zoom Talache Mid
Totally unexpected Nike hits us with an entirely new model, the Air Zoom Talache Mid. The well chosen mix of materials (velour, suede and leather), good color combinations, nice silhouette and premium look make the sneaker a nice addition to the line-up. It already looks comfortable from the pictures. Also a nice touch is the entirely leather covered mid-sole. Finally some innovation again and not another re-release.
SoldOut has them in stock now in two colorways. Our favorite is for sure this grey colorway, inspired by the Air Max 95.
Check out many more pictures after the jump.

Essence received a really nice new Air Max 1. Called the “Friendly Football” AM1, the shoe feature an upper made up of white/grey/royal blue and orange. The crackle pattern on the heel as well as the patent leather accents give the sneaker the final touch. Definitely a fresh spring colorway.

back door Bottega – Nike Be True

22 January 2008, 15.45 | Posted in Stores | No comments »

back door Bottega Bologna
There are nice stores out there and then there are amazing stores. When Italian interior design meets streetculture you can certainly expect something good to come out. One of the most interesting stores, not only in Italy, but all of Europe, to open its doors recently is back door Bottega in Bologna/Italy. Concentrating on a lifestyle that is all about Nike trainers and Jordans, they build a beautiful store fusing modern design with classic Italian interior.
Recently back door Bottega held the opening of the Nike Be True Dunk campaign and had a really nice setup prepared. Most of you were probably not there, so we give you a look right now. Eisaku Kito’s DIVA sculpture is part of the campaign, and they had several of them in store matching each Dunk color.
Check out the entire setup after the jump.
