Items include screenprinted cotton-cashmere blend tees, as well as Heavyweight Fleece Crewnecks with stitching details on the elbow and shoulders, and a 5-button Jeep Sweater in Coated French Terry. Two of our favorite labels have worked together for Fall/Winter 2009 on a small capsule collection. Nom de Guerre design meets Wings + Horns know-how and quality for a small range of fleece goods, of course produced in Canada. The first pieces, including tiger fleece hoodies and other heavy fleece pieces in several colorways have arrived at Roden Gray and they look very solid with tons of nice details. T-Shirts will still come later this season.

Today at (capsule) show we discovered that a couple of our favorite labels – New York’s Nom de Guerre and Vancouver’s Wings + Horns – worked together on a series of two-toned fleece garments for Spring 2010. Styles range from simple ringer tees to more complex zip hoods and jackets, in brighter colors than we are used to seeing from either brand. Made in beautiful, British Columbia. The tag says “Date: Fall-Winter 2008″ but we’re told a release is on the horizon.

Here comes the last sneaker of the adidas Originals Five-Two 3 Project Brands Pack – a collaboration with New York’s Nom de Guerre brand. They worked on the Forum Mid and gave it a stunning timeless design. Even though already previewed last week, we give you more views and information on the sneaker today, after already showing you the collaborations with Stone Island, Maharishi, XLarge and Porter.

Nom de Guerre’s Forum builds on the revolutionary basketball shoe’s hardwearing ankle straps and heel support made for hard landings, revising the shoe using the United States Military jungle boot as an inspiration prototype. Next, Nom de Guerre reworked the Forum’s ankle strap to reference war hospital ankle bandaging.

Additionally, the colours on the sole of the shoe serves as a reminder of the many hours of target practice accrued during training. The byproduct of these elements is an extremely versatile shoe designed to accommodate a range of climates while providing critical protection over various terrain.

We give you a more detailed look at the first pieces of the Nom de Guerre Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. Collection 9 explores the ideas of Utopias and uses the extremes of the Arctic wilderness to establish its setting. The collection is a uniform for survival. Olive drap and khaki are crucial components of the collection; gray and black serve to accent these base colours and signify polar night. The sweaters in the collection are made of heavy spun wool and feature thick shawl collars and hoods designed to fight bitter temperatures. Wool plaid field shirts and pale grey, formal cotton oxfords add structure to the collection. Our favorite pieces in the line-up include the shawl collar wool sweaters and also the wool accessories. As part of the adidas Originals Five-Two 3 Project, the brand invited 5 labels from around the globe to collaborate on adidas footwear. Today we can give you a first look at the Forum Hi collaboration with Nom de Guerre. The upper of the sneaker is composed of canvas and leather in black and white. The most interesting addition is for sure the zipper, replacing the laces, a feature that we often see on Japanese footwear. Overall the Forum Hi is nicely transformed into a more fashionable sneaker, while keeping its classic appeal. Expect this sneaker, along with four other collaborations from the Five-Two 3 Project to come to stores in August 2009.

This seasons Nom de Guerre t-shirt collection features a collaboration with Fruit of the Loom. The t-shirt come with prints inside and outside and also feature a special collaborative label. The t-shirt series is now available from End. What the exact reason for a collaboration between the two labels is, we are still trying to figure out.

New York based brand Nom De Guerre has arrived at Blackbird. We present you the t-shirts and leather bags out of the new Fall/Winter 2008 collection.
As a nice contrast to most other brands covered here, Nom De Guerre offers mostly black and white t-shirts with black/white prints. This season the brand also plays a lot with photo prints, making the message strong, without using much color.
