On November 18th (today), Nooka will sponsor the 2009 Red Bull BC One, the world’s biggest one-on-one b-boy competition, at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. Sixteen of the globe’s best dancers will compete head-to-head to determine who will be the ONE crowned Red Bull BC One 2009 Champion. As sponsors of the event, Nooka has custom designed a limited black Zub watch for each of the competitors. The timepiece features an NYC-inspired print, and is limited to 16 pieces.

After Casio G-Shock, Nooka now also worked on a collaborative Doratch watch, bearing the character all over the blue digital watch. Look out for a release soon.

The Zaz is the newest addition to the Nooka luxury line of timepieces. The most prominent and unique feature are the four vertical bars, which are used to tell time, appear on a completely transparent, mineral lens. Beneath the watch face, the wearer’s skin is fully visible, giving the illusion that the time is displayed directly onto the individual’s wrist. Now available for pre-order on Nooka.com for $395USD.

The ZEM is the next generation of Nooka’s V-series line. Previously introduced this summer with the release of the Nooka Strip belt and Nooka Fragrance, the gem theme is now applied to Nooka’s timepieces with a gem-cut case and gem-cut mineral crystal lens. Presenting a whole new aesthetic, the ZEM series consists of 16 different watches overall with four face selections, two finish options – mirror or black – and three band styles – black leather, silver, or high gauge stainless steel. The ZEM watches officially debut in October, but are currently available for pre-sale at Nooka’s online store. $375 USD each.

Yesterday was the opening party for Nooka’s first pop-up shop in New York. For the first time, the entire collection is available at the Nooka space, including all existing watches, alongside the newly introduced Nooka Strip belt, Nooka AO (Asset Organizer) wallet and Nooka eau de parfum fragrance.

Made of soft and flexible rubber-like substances, the Strip and AO complement Nooka’s Zub watches and are each available in black, blue, gray, orange, and green. The Nooka Fragrance communicates a universal language that transcends opposites. A synergy of scents, both familiar and foreign that come together as one, expressing each wearer’s multi-faceted individuality. Each bottle is made of polished steel wrapped in vintage leather and is sold for $80 USD.

Heyday and Nooka have collaborated on a very limited run of 20 Heyday Super Debs’ emblazoned with Nooka’s String Theory triangle pattern. It is available in a white and a black patent colorway with airmesh side panels and Nooka x Heyday printed on the top most strap of the 5 strap high top. The black version will drop July 9th at Nooka’s Pop Up Shop at Odin’s DEN on East 11th st in NY. The White version will drop later this year.

Nooka’s latest timepiece collaboration is with basketball focused brand UNDRCRWN. The watch utilizes the popular ZENV display style and features a black aluminum face, atop a fun and colorful polyurethane band. The Nooka x UNDRCRWN ZENV Watch was produced in a limited run of 200 pieces and sells for $275 USD. Available at the end of June through www.nooka.com/buy.

The new summer collection from New York based watch maker Nooka is being released this week. The series consists of four new additions to the Nooka Zenh line, each featuring bold graphics inspired by the simplistic shape of a triangle. Three of the watches consist of a light weight aluminum casing with soft, polyurethane band, while the sky pyramid model (pictured above right) uses a stainless steel case and leather band.

Nooka and Supremebeing have come together to create a vibrant new collaboration. This model includes the fun streetwear aesthetic with the Nooka Zot-style face. The Supremebeing logo is printed on a polyurethane band and aluminum case in a bold pink, yellow, and blue. Only 200 pieces will be released this month!

Nooka and the Norwegian design studio, Bleed, have teamed up to produce a graphically inspired collaborative timepiece. The design for the watch includes the Nooka ZENH Aluminum style of watch, with both a black face and black leather band. Printed on the band and face is a light gold graphic inspired by the Bleed studio’s logo. Only 200 pieces of this limited edition watch will be produced, available as of this coming Friday, April 24th.
