To celebrate La MJC’s 10th birthday, the Parisian collective joined forces with their Danish friends at Norse Projects create a special version of the infamous Elka raincoat. Totally waterproof and breathable, the jacket pays homage to the blue, red and white colors of the French flag and features four front pockets, a drawcord hood, breathable lining and adjustable cuffs. The jacket is a limited edition of 50 pieces, exclusive to Cool Cats, Norse Projects and colette.

Danish brand Norse Projects teamed up with Pro-Keds on a pack of three colors of the Royal Master Lo sneaker.  Featuring premium suede on the upper, the contrasting brown leather tab makes for a nice accent on the heel. The in-sole is made of cork and further collaborative branding has been placed on the tongue. The Good Will Out in Cologne will host the German launch of the sneaker on February 24th, 2012, while the Norse Projects store in Copenhagen will be hosting the global launch a little earlier during Copenhagen Fashion Week, early February.

Norse Projects has released a new series of their Hektor 5-panel cap for Holiday 2011. This time they offer the popular silhouette in fake suede and in a 100% wool make-up with a two-tone design. As usual the caps carry the classic Norse Projects tag on the front and otherwise remain very clean. Both styles come in a series of colors and are now in stock in the Norse online store.

We have a hard time deciding which ones we like best – they all look good!

Norse Projects has been very successful with their cap program in recent years and continues to offer appealing versions of the iconic 5 panel for Fall/Winter 2011, next to some new styles as well.

The 5 panel comes in heavy Moleskine fabric and wool versions this season. Furthermore they present the hunter cap in wool and wool checker fabrics and the Wool Flat Cap in several colors as well.

Norse Projects has teamed up with Precinct 5 store from Amsterdam on a small capsule collection. Consisting of two 5-panel caps and a custom Elka rain jacket, the collection will exclusively launch this weekend, May 21st, at Norse Projects and Precinct 5. All pieces of the collection use military green, navy and heather grey as the main colors.

For the second season in a row, Mark McNairy has been producing footwear for Copenhagen store and brand Norse Projects. For Spring/Summer 2011 the two present a wingtip brogue, coming in brown and black leather options. The only thing distracting from the overall really classic look is the slight use of canvas on the upper, making the shoes a little more sporty. Both colorways are now available from Norse Projects (storeguide).

Norse Projects provides a look into their new Fall/Winter 2011 collection. Shot along the bright chalk cliffs of eastern coast of the Danish island of Møn, the lookbook does well to showcase the label’s clean cut garments. As we’ve seen over the past few seasons, the collection includes an impressive array of outerwear (such as the Elka raincoat seen above,) knits, button downs, chinos and accessories. Norse Projects makes their first move into music and got together with one of Denmark’s most influential musicians on a capsule collection. We exclusively preview the Norse Projects for Andres Trentemoller Collection. This must be one of the most classy and quality band merchandise collections to date.

“With a desire to provide a richer merchandise experience for fans, Anders Trentemøller and Norse Projects promptly harmonised and agreed upon a line of popular Norse classics to be re-made, black-upon-black, with the addition of Anders’s personal detailing and a split label. It was Trentemøller that spearheaded this collaboration, momentarily steering Norse into the unchartered waters of music projects. A sea shall be sailed.

Trentemøller is undoubtedly one of Denmark’s most influential modern musicians, and this partnership is based upon our distinct appreciation for his quality craftsmanship, individualism and courage. The collection is a bare bones wardrobe extension: a lengthened version of the Elka Coat, stylised Jonas safari shirt, an over dyed black-on-black plaid flannel, a classic black tee shirt made new, and topped off with a ribbed 100% Merino beanie—in black.”

Norse x Trentemøller will be released at an instore reception in Copenhagen on Friday February 4th and will be available through selected Norse retailers and as band merchandise on Trentemøller’s coming tour.

Norse Projects’ latest project sees them align with their French friends at colette and Armor Lux. The package is comprised of six different modified classic Breton items – pea coats, scarves, knit caps and sweaters – curated by Norse Projects for colette, and produced by traditional Breton outfitters Armor Lux. Each piece features a double blue line, which references the two dots of colette’s logo and the partnership between Ccolette and Norse Projects. These products will be available from December 3, 2010 at Norse Projects, colette and Dover Street Market.
