As Black History Month officially kicks off, Nike Sportswear has unveiled their collection made especially for the occasion. This Black History month 2012 collection is a nice range consisting of some great footwear including an Air Force 1, Air Max 1, Blazer High, and Huarache Free. We also see apparel in the mix with Destroyer jackets for men and women, tee shirt, and hat. Check for the collection at Nike Sportswear retailers.

Nike Sportswear debuted this “Always On” video as part of their campaign with the same name. The video features Amar’e Stoudamire doing his thing both on and off the court set to an exclusive track from French Montana. It’s game time… all the time.

Stalley was bestowed with a very unique opportunity to create this highly customized Nike Sportswear Destroyer Jacket. This piece is laden with all kinds of references including lyrics from “Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen, which is the song that Stalley’s Ohio high school basketball team would hit the court to, and “This Charming Man” by The Smiths. From the inner lining, to the back patch, to even the pockets, custom hits are placed throughout the jacket. Another thing of note is that Stalley got to utilize a navy body, where as all other custom Destroyer seen were limited to black. All in all, this is a really cool and personal piece.

In what has been an ongoing event for the last 112 years, the Army vs. Navy college football took place this past weekend with the Midshipmen (Navy) taking out the Black Knights (Army) by a score of 27 to 21. In honor of the yearly tradition, Nike Sportswear has released these Destroyer jackets, which are available now at 21 Mercer. Even if you didn’t have a dog in that fight, you can still rock one of these jackets as they are pretty fresh looking.

Nike is no stranger to fusion pieces as we see it is a regular occurrence with their footwear, but this time around they apply the approach to this NSW Melton Destroyer Jacket. This part-varsity, part-peacoat hybrid features a tailored fit and high quality fabrication, making for an all around interesting piece. This jacket is available now at Firmament.

Nike has uploaded a Fall 2008 Sportswear feature and for the first time we see the entire collection, including all jackets, pants, windrunners and pieces by Loopwheeler. Even though you have seen a lot from the collection already it is worth checking it out in its entirety once more.
Furthermore they have included a nice feature on the production facilities of Loopwheeler and essays written by C.R. Stycek and other high profile artists.

Yesterday we showed you first images of the new Nike Sportswear flagship store at 21 Mercer in Soho. Today we give you a look at the exclusive product that will be releasing at the store on its opening on August 22nd.
On the 22nd of August you will see the release of the Nike Air Force 1 Lux, coming in overall 12 colorways and only at the new flagship store. The REjuven8, a model that we introduced to you earlier this year, will also be coming in a nice line-up of colors, along with the new Lunar Racer, sporting the new Nike Flywire technology. Last but not least Nike will be releasing a technical M-65 patchwork jacket. The M-65 jacket is a true classic of military design. Updated and re-imagined as part of the NSW collection, it is produced from a highly functional three layer laminate waterproof breathable nylon. Each jacket comes with a different patwork layout and is thus unique.
If we did not give you enough reasons to pass by the new store, then we do not know what else to do!

Nike has impressed us very much with their Sportswear Fall/Winter ‘08 clothing collection and it continues with the bag line. This fall they will be releasing a backpack and a messenger bag as part of the line. They both come in black, having nylon uppers and leather details on the bottom, similar to Visvim bags. Other details include well thought out compartments and leather straps on all zippers. Via Urbanlook.
