Number (N)ine presents a New Era 59Fifty fitted cap. They keep it classic and present the cap in black canvas with a white raised front embroidery. The cap is part of the Fall/Winter 2011 Collection and releases October 2011.

Wasn’t Number Nine supposed to be finished at this point? Regardless they’ve released some of the funniest tees we’ve seen in a minute. Arm & Harmburger, and Arm & Beer? Ha. Only in Japan would you find something this amazing. i.e. at nano-universe.

The basics line from Number(N)ine, n(n), worked with retailer nano universe on a Denim Shirt. Constructed of 10.5 oz denim, the shirt features heavy distressing and “vintage” effects. Now on pre-order.

After a first preview in September, the latest collaboration between Converse and Number (N)ine has released this week.

“As part of the 1st String program, Converse has collaborated with Takahiro Miyashita’s now defunct label, Number (N)ine. As his label was winding down, Takahiro worked to perfect this rendition of the obscure Odessa running shoe of the 70s and 80s. Perhaps a bit ahead of it’s time in those days, this shoe thankfully returns. The shoe features a textured deerskin upper and asymmetrical lacing system, along with leather mudguards and translucent sole.”

The sneakers are now in stock at Haven.

While Number (N)ine has folded last year and its head designer moved on to create The Soloist, they still present their n (n) basics collection. Today we get a first look at the Spring/Summer 2011 offering, consisting of denim, shirts, pants, beanies, bags, sunglasses and more. The product is already up for pre-order at Rowgage.

Once again Number (N)ine collaborates with Converse, this time presenting the Odessa sneaker.

“The unique design was inspired by the Odessa, a Converse running trainer from the ’80s. For fall ’10, Miyashita has worked his magic on a modern interpretation of the Odessa – and here it is.

Similar to the previous releases, the sneakers feature premium deer skin uppers with smooth leather lining on the inside.

The thing that really sets them apart though, is the soles. The Chucks and One Stars used the ubiquitous vulcanised soles, while these are fitted with comfy running-orientated soles.

Not something that you see everyday on a collab Converse release; they’re fitted with translucent outsoles for good measure too.”

After showing you yesterday the black colorway of the Converse x Number (N)ine One Star in the new black colorway, we preview today the black colorway of the Chuck Taylor All Star from the second take of this collaboration. Again the materials used, stayed the same, just this time they come instead of yellow in black with contrasting white stitching.

After previously coming out with the white One Star and the yellow Chuck Taylor All Star in collaboration with Number (N)ine, we can preview the next installment of this collaboration. Once again they worked on the One Star and this time it will release in black, featuring the same features and materials as the previous releases.

Quite unexpectedly, Number (N)ine reappears even though the brand has been closed not long ago. This time they worked with Converse for Spring 2010 and it will actually be a collaboration through-out the entire year. Definitely exciting news, especially for Number (N)ine fans.

“Converse announces its Number (N)ine for Converse collection. Some of the last Number (N)ine products available from Takahiro Miyashita’s highly sought-after label, the collection includes a Chuck Taylor All Star and a One Star shoes that will be available in February and will be followed up later in the year with new versions and Takahiro’s take on the Converse Odessa trainer.

The collaboration seems especially fitting for Takahiro who sees Converse as a sort of beginning and an end. “My childhood started with Converse” he says, noting that with the closing of Number (N)ine, that Converse has a special existence in relation to both his youth and the end of Number (N)ine.

Converse worked closely with Takahiro to create his interpretations of the Chuck Taylor All Star and One Star shoes, which Takahiro considers “authentic and permanent”. Taking a hybrid approach, Takahiro chose to incorporate the asymmetrical lacing of the 1970 and ‘80s era Converse Odessa shoe into his design. The Odessa shoe, which was originally designed for running, was super innovative for its time and a shoe from the Converse archives that Takahiro has long admired. Following the Chuck Taylor All Star and One Star versions, Converse will debut the Number (N)ine version of the Odessa trainer in early 2010.

The collection includes an oxford version of the Chuck Taylor All Star shoe with premium deer skin, yellow shag suede uppers, asymmetrical lacing and a metallic gold star on the shoe’s heel. A One Star version is also available in premium deer skin white shag suede uppers, asymmetrical lacing and a silver metallic star on the shoe’s heel. The shoes global launch is set for March 13, 2010 at select retailers globally. A full retailer list also follows after the jump.”
