Take a look at a couple of custom Toyota trucks that were recently on display at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, NV. DC Shoes and West Coast Customs got busy on a Toyota Tundra, which was done up on matte black with white DC branding throughout. This Tundra features some handy modifications designed with motorcross enthusiasts in mind. Features such as a refueling nozzle, air compressors and easier means to transport your bikes have been put in place to make life a little easier.
The Oakley Tacoma caters to the surfer. This guy features a surf rack, BBQ grill, and a cooler so you can make a complete trip out of it. They even added a shower nozzle, which is a pretty awesome addition to this truck and a luxury if you’ve ever roughed it while camping. This whole custom truck thing is looking mighty enticing thanks to these 2.

Like we reported earlier here, Oakley presented a block party at The Lab in Costa Mesa this past week that included multiple events that ran simultaneously including the Thrasher Magazine 30 Year Anniversary exhibit as well as the Love & Guts Art Show. This time around we are giving you a look at a special all Oakley event that happened inside of BLENDS. A few things were going on in there: 1. a timeline showcasing stuff from original BMX grips, Razor Blades, MARS, Over the Tops and other design wonders from the brand; 2. a preview of 2012 releases including the unveiling of Dispatch II; and 3. a look at some apparel, goggles, outerwear and gloves. We had full access, so take a look at what we captured.

Earlier we reported on the Trasher Magazine 30 Year Anniversary Exhibition presented by Oakley that took place last week in Costa Mesa, CA, and now we present you with an in depth look at the Love & Guts exhibition that went on concurrent with Thrasher’s. Love & Guts featured a lineup comprised of genuine skateboarding legends that have played a huge part in the growth of it. Guys like Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, Pat Ngoho, Steve Olson, Ray Barbee, Salba, Christian Hosoi and Chris Senn all exhibited some works as part of this special block party put on by Oakley. We were on hand to capture some flicks of the exhibit as well as some portraits with the show’s key players. Unfortunately, the exhibits were one-night only, but we documented everything, so no worrying.

Oakley presented Thrasher Magazine’s 30 Year Anniversary this past week at The Lab in Costa Mesa, CA as part of a block party that included the Love & Guts art show, as well as a special Oakley event held inside of BLENDS. A makeshift gallery was constructed out of an unoccupied store location and it was filled with an amazing range of photos from the publication’s 30 year history. Photos were presented in a chronological order to give a timeline feel. For those not in attendance, take a look at our gallery, which goes in order from the beginning to the end of the exhibit. Also, be on the lookout for more coverage from this special one-night only block party event.

Last year, Oakley took it back to their roots by releasing their highly sought after B-1B Grips in limited quantities. As a nod to the popular BMX grips, Oakley has created these extremely limited edition 4-legged Frogskins, which will be releasing Thursday, November 10 at BLENDS Costa Mesa. Also, during the release, there will be a special block party presented by Oakley in celebration of Thrasher Magazine’s 30th Year Anniversary. Oakley’s Switchlock lens removal technology has been a revelation since its introduction first with the Jawbone sunglasses, then more recently with the Split Jacket. This time around, the popular technology can be seen in this season’s Airbrake goggles. Interesting design elements are found throughout the goggle:
The innovative new goggle combines a protective front zone of rigid material with a flexible O Matter® chassis. Specially engineered architecture eliminates nasal pressure and maximizes airflow while maintaining an adaptable fit, even in extreme cold. Strap outriggers balance pressure, and they are designed to work with or without a helmet.

Hiroshi Fujiwara also seems to have gotten together with Oakley to work on overall three colorways of the iconic Frogskins sunglasses. Featuring smokey tortoise shell designs, the fragment logo is printed right next to the Oakley logo on these. A release date has not been announced yet, but should not be too far away.
