To commemorate the release of the OBEY/Stereo skateboard collaboration OBEY, Stereo and Matt Goldman teamed up to release a limited poster designed by Matt Goldman and Shepard Fairey. The initial poster offering sold out immediately with a few being given out at the release party. OBEY Clothing will be offering the hidden, remaining posters on their website at 1pm PST on Tuesday, April 14. In addition, 100 T-shirts were printed for the occasion. Most were given away at the party but a few were divided up prior to the festivities amongst Stereo, Matt Goldman and OBEY Clothing. OBEY Clothing’s portion will be available from their site www.obeyclothing.com on Tuesday at 1pm PST as well.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection, Obey presents a couple of new technical bags. The line-up includes a backpack and a messenger bag. Both come in water resistant materials and feature more prominent art by Obey creative director Shepard Fairey. The bags are now available at Overkill.

Obey has produced a commemorative J Dilla print limited to 400 pieces, to remember the death of the music producer and to help his mother “Ma Dukes” out with her medical bills. 50 prints will be released at a charity event on February 22nd in Los Angeles. Obey got together with photographer Martha Cooper to work on a series of product. They used images from Martha Cooper’s “Street Play” book, documenting children playing in the streets of New York City between 1977 and 1980. The line includes t-shirts, tote bags and a skateboard deck.

It is incredible how iconic the Shepard Fairey Obama artwork has become in recent months, before the election and of course after the election even more. Recently the artwork was chosen as the front cover of Times magazine, which is without a doubt a very big move from the artist and an honor. The artwork of course also came in the form of a t-shirt from Shepard Fairey’s Obey brand and now that the election has been won, the “Obama Yes We Did” t-shirt has been released.

Ubiq will be hosting an Obey Pop-Up Store in Philadelphia. To celebrate the occasion,  there will be an opening reception Saturday, December 6th with OBEY DJ’s Pubes and Roam spinning in-store.  There will be a limited edition UBIQ x OBEY t-shirt- Let Freedom Ring. The t-shirt comes in a limited edition of 125 pieces.

The pop-up shop will be open until just after New Years.

Obey got together with Californian artist Mike Kershnar, who is a lifelong skateboarder, UC Santa Cruz grad, and rock poster designer for bands including the Beastie Boys, Morrissey, The Marley Brothers, and Phil Lesh of the Greatful Dead. He has also created board graphics and for skate brands such as Toy Machine, Element and Baker.

They collaborated on three t-shirts, designed by the artist. The t-shirts are shipping to stores now and should be releasing in the next two weeks.

For the launch of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection, Japanese brand Kiks TYO got together with Obey on a series of collaborative t-shirts. Featuring Shepard Fairey’s iconic and stylized Andre the Giant artwork meshed with KIKS TYO’s sneaker based imagery, the OBEY KIKS propaganda tees are available for pre-order now in a range of three designs.

Honoring Shepard Fairey’s favorite rap group, the Obey x Public Enemy Collection includes graphic tees with classic PE imagery and a striking M-65. The highlight of the set is a collaboration between Obey and photographer Glen E. Friedman. The resulting picture also forms the base for a limited edition signed print.
