The Ben G x DC Shoes Gatsby collaboration sneakers will soon be released. To go along with the sneaker Ben G has also teamed up with Official to create a matching Ben G x DC x Official fitted cap, featuring the same design as the shoes. More pictures of the sneakers you can see here.
Also Official is running an interesting contest with this launch. The winners will get a paid trip to Amsterdam, the home base of Ben G. Reserve your limited production Ben G x DC x Official hat on Official’s store site and you’re automatically entered into a chance to pick up your hat and a free pair of the Ben G x DC Gatsby shoes personally from the Ben G skate shop in the heart of Amsterdam. Official is going to flip the bill (or Euro in this case) for your flights and two nights hotel at the Winston in central Amsterdam, Netherlands just to go pick up your hat and shoes straight from the source.

Adidas has released their limited edition Animal Pack and it has landed at Sold Out. It consists of an Americana Mid Lux and an Official (black Stan Smith). The Americana Mid Lux comes with an embossed horse, as well as premium leathers and pony hair accents. The Official comes with an embossed Stingray and also stingray inspired leather. In terms of colors the sneakers stay very subtle and are all black.

Official is pleased to announce the release of it’s Ballistic/3M fitteds set for a street date of November 9th, 2007. Striving to constantly set precedence and apply atypical materials to their fitted silhouette, they have now broken new ground with this drop by utilizing 9oz Ballistic Nylon for the crown and visor and 3M Reflective Fabric (8905) as a detail feature for the sandwich bill and top button. Symbolically these fitteds make your head bulletproof.
The set consists of overall two caps – Neu Trojan and Go Ballistic. The Neu Trojan features the UNI-AKorn logo. The horn is the nozzle of an AK-47 with the horse’s mane and tail composed of automatic weapon silhouettes as well. Go ballistic is the minimal approach to ballistic fitted headwear. The plain black fitted is a classic and by adding 3M, contrast red stitch and ballistic nylon the cap stays subtle with a twist.
The exclusive retail partner for this hat is Fatlace in San Francisco, CA. Fatlace is the sole brick and mortar outlet for this limited release. Online the hats will be available at the Official Online Store.

Official put together a nice video lookbook previewing their Holiday 2007 collection. We have showed you most of what you see in the video, but make sure to check it out as some other new styles pop up. The caps that you see in the video will hit stores November 15th. Now check out Freeze Frame…

In a rather short time Official has made a good name for itself in the fitted cap market, mostly by introducing innovative design coupled with good quality. That is no different for the Fall/Winter season this year.
There are lots of interesting caps in their upcoming releases. Most exciting are the plaid fitted caps, the LA cap made of original Armani fabric and also the extensive upcoming collaboration with Tank Theory.

Here we present you an upcoming collaboration between Official and Tank Theory named Bruiser Bear. It features the bear graphic in front as a patch embroidery, they Tank Theory logo embroidery on the back of the cap and also as a pattern under the brim. The contrast stitching also looks good. We have reported about the first Official Shemagh caps that were released a few weeks ago in a very limited run. This winter season they will come back in overall 6 funky colors – you will find anything from neon orange and yellow to blue, green, pink. A nice idea is also the matching actually Shemagh scarves that will also be released. We’ll keep you posted on the release of the Neu Shemagh Pack.

We already gave you a pretty complete preview of what Official will be coming out with in the next few months from Bread & Butter. They are also showing at United in NYC, so we had another look. They have pretty cool new cap coming featuring vintage furniture all-over prints. That’s certainly new to the fitted cap. There are two caps in this pack.

Hall Of Fame makes it a very special Friday the 13th with a two week jump and exclusive limited release of Official’s “Victor Cholo” LA fit. This hat comes with much anticipation as it’s the first fitted to utilize a perforation in reflective 3M material. We presented you first pics of the cap last week during Bread & Butter. The inside-out denim version provides severe summer stun with the neon orange LA logo.
