Puma Cell Meio Metallic Croc

highsnobiety - Puma Cell Meio Metallic Croc
Just in time for the Summer Games 2008 PUMA® has released special Olympic-inspired colorways of the new sneaker style for Fall, the Cell Meio. Each colorway represents a PUMA-sponsored team – Jamaica, Sweden, and Morocco. Besides having each team’s national colors each shoe bears a faux-croc upper as well as their country’s flag on the heel.

In line with PUMA’s charge as a sportlifestyle brand, the Cell Meio combines cutting-edge sport technology with good looks for a shoe that’s both technologically advanced and fashion-forward. It’s definitely the kind of sneaker that not everybody willbe able to pull off, as the design with the faux-croc is heavy on the eyes.

The Olympic-inspired Cell Meio styles are currently available at PUMA Concept Stores nationwide and online at www.puma.com.
Detailed images of all three colorways after the jump.

Nike Sportswear – The Evolution Of The Windrunner

nike sportswear windrunners - highsnobiety
Nike introduces Nike Sportswear, taking the best of Nike’s sport heritage, remixing and improving it through today’s design innovations. Nike Sportswear launches with the re-evolution of eight iconic Nike products, celebrating our history and paying homage to Chinese tradition with the number 8. Nike has chosen the year of Beijing to debut Nike Sportswear, an iconic moment in sport that symbolizes the pinnacle of athletic achievement and competition.
Nike introduces Nike Sportswear in the year Beijing opens its doors to the world’s greatest athletes on 080808. Nike Sportswear selects eight defining products from its rich history and takes them on a high-tech journey, driven by the never-ending quest to innovate.
The 26-degree chevron gives it away: you’ve seen it before. The ultimate running jacket, the Windrunner became the face of Nike apparel at a time when Nike was known for its footwear. The ’84 games offered the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how technologically advanced sporting equipment enhanced performance from head to toe; with 58 Nike supported athletes taking home 65 medals. The Windrunner is perhaps Nike’s most recognizable piece of apparel from that important era. Designed as a running jacket, its nylon construction meant lightweight wear. But the Windrunner quickly transcended its athletic identity thanks to early hip-hop culture, which made it its own. Re-mastered for today, the lightweight shell is even lighter, built from super-breathable nylon and equipped with No Sew pocket construction and an updated hood that forgoes a hood adjuster for a clean finish. The jacket also features an ultra-modern ear bud cord exit eyelet, subtle yet functional.
Here we show you the Nike Windrunner featuring several Olympic design.

Nike Rejuven8 – Medal Stand Pack

11 May 2008, 07.16 | Posted in Sneakers | No comments »

nike rejuve8 medal stand pack - highsnobiety
Designed with a focus on comfort, breathability and fit, the Air Rejuven8 is engineered to create an environment that allows the foot to rest and refresh in preparation for the next round of competition or training, making it the perfect shoe for athletes in-between sport.
Comfort, breathability and lightweight support are highly prioritized in athletic footwear. The Air Rejuven8 not only achieves these goals with its innovative cage, but also by integrating a knit sandwich-mesh inner bootie and an 8mm sockliner, giving athletes the additional snugness, stability, and insole cushioning necessary for light running. Made of resilient EVA foam and housing a heel air packet, this is among the thickest, softest sockliners NIKE offers. Additionally, the seamless bootie also allows the footwear to be worn without socks for better airflow.
The Air Rejuven8 hits shelves in April 2008, but its real coming out party will take place on 080808 when the world’s greatest athletes come together under one sky to compete. US athletes will sport these shoes as part of their medal stand outfits, and many others will wear them during downtime in Beijing this summer, looking good, as well as enjoying technology that has made them the future of NIKE recovery footwear.
Here we present you the Medal Stand Pack, consisting of mens and womens models for Kenya, the US and Ukraine.
Check them out in detail after the jump.
