highsnobiety - 686 x Levi's | 686 x Famous Stars And Straps
Over the years we have seen many interesting projects from snowboard outerwear brand 686. For their Autumn/Winter 2008/09 season they once again present two collaborative projects, this time with Levi’s and Famous Stars And Straps.
Together with Famous Starts And Straps, 686 produced a full winter outerwear collection, consisting of beanies, New Era caps, hoodies, jackets and pants. The most prominent piece in the collection features a visual collage history of Famous.
The collaboration with Levi’s is more out thing, as it is more subtle and perfectly fuses the technological know-how of 686 and the heritage design of Levi’s, using breathable materials as well as Levi’s rivets and stitching details on all pieces. Also several pieces use actual Levi’s denim.
Have a detailed look after the jump at both the 686 x Famous Stars And Straps collection as well as the 686 x Levi’s collection.

We could not imagine a better fit. Both brands are known for high quality outerwear with lots of technical features and material research involved. Now we finally came across some more information on “The Shadow Project” and can also show you a first piece of the line.
“Stone Island’s Shadow project began as a discourse between Sportswear Company owner Carlo Rivetti and the design team of Michaela Sachenbacher and Errolson Hugh, also known as Acronym. A platform for exploration, the Shadow project rapidly evolved into a system based program for a new generation of urban masculine apparel.

burton x nopattern chuck anderson light camo jacket - highsnobiety
Here is an interesting new jacket that Chuck Anderson of NoPattern designed for Burtons 2009 collection – the Light Camo Jacket. It features an all-over design similar to the works we are used to see from the designer/artist.
That’s what’s fun when you design for a snowboard company – it might be a little crazy to wear every day, but it’s just fine to wear it while boarding. The jacket will not come out for a while, so keep an eye out later this year.
After the jump detailed pictures of the Light Camo Jacket.
