Japan’s Over The Stripes teamed with Porter on a three piece bag collection. Consisting of a daypack, messenger bag, and “helmet” bag, each piece features a bold star print which makes the otherwise subdued pieces pop. Produced in Japan with durable materials and performance driven design as we’ve come to enjoy from Porter. Now available from Beams for those of you lucky enough to have a grasp of the Japanese buying system.

An excellent new duffle coat is coming from Japanese brand Over The Stripes. Made from dark grey wool felt with a tartan interior and horn toggles, we especially like the contrasts that the brand is playing with on this very classic piece of outerwear. An injection of bright yellow on the toggles, oversized concealed zip and outer pocket zips gives this traditional piece a bit of an edge. The duffle coat is now available from Oki-Ni.

Japanese label Beams returns for their second year as an official sponsor for the Fuji Rock Festival. Contributing a series of original t-shirts, shopping bags as well as event staff t-shirts, Beams collaborated with Over The Stripes and Disney on two Mickey and Minnie mouse pieces with obvious musical references. The brand also contributed two surf and guitar influenced graphics. The Fuji Rock Festival 2009 takes place at the Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture, Japan from Friday, July 24th to Sunday, July 26th. The t-shirts are now available at Beams.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2008 “Heartful” collection, Mastermind Japan collaborated with Over The Stripes for the second time this year on some high-top sneakers. This time they dropped two colorways, black and white, both featuring the obligatory zipper and red accents. Via Mashkulture.
