Adidas Conductor Hi Olympic
Released in 1987, the Adidas Conductor Hi was once at the top of its game and was worn by Patrick Ewing during his New York Knick days. It is now 2008 and the Conductor Hi seen above has been designed to pay homage to the Seoul 1988 Olympics Basketball Game Final in which USSR defeated Yugoslavia 76-63.
The color-way is simple, but there are details deriving from the Olympics. For starters, the 1988 Seoul Olympics logo is placed at the back of the shoe and details about the Final game can be seen on the inside of the shoe. These are now available at Overkill.

Three years in the making, we show you today the outcome of the JB Classics x DJ Funkmaster Flex x Ford collaboration. The project consists of two sneakers, one made with each partner in this three-way project.

The JB Classics x DJ Funkmaster Flex Getlo comes with a true-blue nubuck toe box and heel panels, white full grain toe vamp and perforation details. The inner leather skin lining features the “FMF” logo print in accent colors to match the outer sole. The shoe is packaged with two sets of laces, is individually numbered and comes with a Certificate of Ownership and cinch bag. Limited to 240 pairs worldwide, shops that will carry the sneaker include Deep Store (Paris), Overkill (Berlin), Garage (Switzerland), Qubic (New Zealand) and Moe’s Sneaker Boutique (NYC), with more coming.

The JB Classics x Ford Getlo comes with an equal amount of details. Most of the shoe is covered in the trademark blue of the car brand and the tongue features a large embossed Ford logo. The inner lining matches the outer sole and the red accents give a nice contrast. Packaged with two sets of laces, Certificate of Ownership and cinch bag, this model was exclusively developed for Ford Motors and it looks like it will not be going on sale.

A very impressive project by JB Classics. In a marketplace that is mainly ruled by large corporations, the brand manages to stick out with unique projects and collaborations. Look out for the DJ Funkmaster Flex Getlo to go on sale soon.
An online presentation of the entire project you can find here. After the jump many detailed pictures of both sneakers.

Zillion Sneaker Laces

RTEmagicC zillion 1.jpg Zillion Sneaker Laces
It seems like the lace game is heating up. Stark Laces, formerly the only brand that was concentrating on bringing more exciting laces to the market, is getting some competition – Zillion. Overkill just received their first shipment of Zillion Sneaker Laces and offer 5 different colorways at the moment. Zillion laces come in nice wooden packaging. Compared to Stark, Zillion’s designs are a little more colorful and crazy, thus we can see them go very well with simple white and black sneakers, not so much with the more colorful ones.
Check out all five models after the jump.
