For Fall 2012, Palladium has teamed up with Richard Chai for this collection of footwear. The collection will be making its debut this week at Chai’s F/W ‘12 runway show, but will be revamped for the actual retail release later this year. We see some nice use of various materials such as corduroy, wool felt, and herringbone, which were utilized on boots, both high 8-hole and 6-hole boots.

VICE Media and Palladium Boots, who have worked closely together on Palladium’s urban exploration films including Tokyo Rising and Detroit Lives, now team up to launch their first ever collaborative boot. The VBS.TV Pampa Tactical Boot will feature a combination ballistic nylon and waterproof nubuck upper in navy blue, with a moisture wicking Dri-Lex lining. Only 100 pairs of this capsule boot will be produced, with most reserved for VICE correspondents, field producers and camera operators – though Palladium is releasing a very limited number of pairs to the public on www.palladiumboots.com.

Neil Barrett continues his Palladium Boots collab for Autumn/Winter 2011. Selectism reports – “Two new colorways are available now in the Palladium Pampa boot: black/white and olive/white. The premium boots are made from “aniline leather” and accented with nubuck. Australian wool is used on the collar for extra warmth.”

Some proper tactical boots from Palladium and Maharishi. The bottom is Palladium’s traditional one piece molded rubber outsole, but Dri-Lex ® Moisture wicking insole and rubberized Full Grain Leather, high abrasion 2520 denier Ballistic Nylon mixed uppers and 3M reflective thread is woven into the boot take these to a new level. Red and black Maharishi branding on the rear and interior collar finish the style.

Today Palladium boots has released their new ‘Tokyo Rising’ campaign, featuring Pharrell Williams. The campaign documents Pharrell as he explores the city’s hidden treasures, interviews locals and uncovers an inspiring resiliency in Tokyo, Japan in the aftermath of the events of 3/11.

Every season the team behind the Bread & Butter Sport & Street area makes sure to treat their friends and family well. With the tradeshow celebrating their 10th anniversary these days, they wanted to top the previous product give-aways and created the ‘Desert Land’ Survival Kit.

Limited to only 150 sets, the kit includes a Herschel Supply backpack, SUPER sunglasses, Palladium boots, New Era cap, Incase laptop sleeve, pocket flask, Victorinox tool set, Happy Socks, Mag-Lite flashlight, Pony jersey, as well as some snacks, making sure that you will have everything you need, if stuck in a desert. All product has been especially made for the kit and will be given out to close friends of the show this week.

The PALLADENIM is inspired by 1950’s Government issued French military ‘chaussure de brousse’, the enlisted mans jungle boots during the French Indochina and Algerian campaign.

“Using the traditional Palladium last, sole and panel pattern, the PALLADENIM upper is vintage 12 oz. raw selvedge indigo denim, loomed in the USA and sourced directly from Mister Freedom’s extensive archive of vintage ‘New Old Stock’ textiles. The lining is a vintage 100% cotton stripe twill, also from Mister Freedom’s archives. Other features of this unique boot include hand stamped markings on the inside lining using military style ink and original printed sock liner artwork by Mister Freedom. The boot also features an original custom molded ankle rubber logo. The boot is filled with details that the wearer will enjoy finding, and the denim will wear over time for a great finish and feel. The boot is complimented with olive drab piping.”

Following last year’s successful relaunch, Palladium have introduced their Winter 2010 collection, consisting of more luxurious materials and updated silhouettes. New styles for men include: the bomber jacket inspired Baggy Leather S, with antiqued cracked leather uppers and Shearling lining; the vegetable dyed Baggy Leather; and the calf-high Pampa Tactical in rubberized full grain leather mixed with ballistic nylon. Avid readers will already know that Boston retailer Bodega and Palladium got together on a pair of ‘Baggy’ Boots.

Bodega and heritage boot brand Palladium have joined forces on a version of Palladium’s signature ‘Baggy’ boot, just in time for the cold season. The ‘Fisticuffs’ boot features a herringbone pattern on the upper and rich chocolate leather, harkening back to the formal dress of the Victorian gentleman. ‘Fisticuffs’ is slang dating back to England’s Victorian era when gentlemen settled their differences in hand to hand duels. ‘Back then, people were polite, even when they were about to throw fists at each other’ said Barney Waters of Palladium, himself an Englishman. ‘When things got rough, there was still a formality and etiquette to the occasion. There were rules of conduct. This boot is the same way; it’s ready to get down and dirty, but the materials are of high quality, allowing it to be dressed up’. Dan from Bodega added, “Scattered throughout the boot are subtle details relating back to this theme because let’s face it boots are meant to kick ass. As a store we’re always looking to diversify our brands and Palladium was an obvious choice. From a retail stand point it’s a great looking product with that important mix of quality fabrication, well considered materials, heritage, and value.”

The Bodega ‘Fisticuffs’ boot features premium leathers for the vamp and a contrasting herringbone material for the upper. The wool lining, comfort foot bed and gusset tongue make it the essential boot for the fall/winter season. Bodega created a custom logo for the boot, which is laser etched onto the leather tongue. Each pair of boots will be individually numbered, with only 350 pairs being available globally.

The five lucky winners of the Gentleman’s Pack lottery will get a ‘Essentials kit’ from around the World. It includes a classic French Opinel pocket knife, a Japanese Straight Edge Nail Clipper from Seki, a British badger hair shaving brush and shaving soap from E Shave, and a classic steel razor from Merkur of Germany, as well as other Bodega essentials. The five winning numbers that correspond with the purchased boot will posted at www.Bdgastore.com along with instructions on how to claim the “Gentleman’s Pack”.

These boots will release on November 6, 2010.

Palladium’s Fall 2010 look book features images from the latest in a series of urban explorations that the heritage boot brand has undertaken. Featuring Johnny Knoxville, ‘Detroit Lives’ takes viewers on an “off-the-beaten path” exploration through the Motor City, to discover if there’s more to Detroit than the scenes of destruction and abandonment that it’s become known for. The exploration takes us into abandoned buildings and urban terrain, which serve as the backdrop for the imagery, all shot by New York artist and photographer, Peter Sutherland.

After a preview during the tradeshow season, we can show you detailed images of the Palladium x Stussy Deluxe Pampa Mid boot to release soon.

“Taking Palladium’s iconic Pampa Boot, lopping off an inch and creating a luxury Mid version, Stüssy have managed to put buckets of character into these whilst keeping the Palladium vibe as strong as ever.

Made from waxed canvas on the upper and premium suede on the eyelet stay, counter and tongue, these boots stink of luxury. The addition of the heel loop, 2 pairs of laces, leather covered PU sock liner and a full leather lining also helps with the luxury theme. Branding is kept subtle and to maximum effect with a premium suede embossed Palladium badge on the inner side panel, an embossed Stüssy emblem on the heel, collaborative gold branding on the insole and of course the Stüssy Deluxe tongue tab.

If it isn’t already plain to see, this is a serious collaborative pack, making for 3 very stylish mid-boots that will break necks whilst having the ability to go unnoticed. Fresh.”

Palladium has next to their Stussy Deluxe collaboration another interesting project in the pipeline, that you have probably already heard about before. Fashion designer Neil Barrett created a footwear collection with the brand. Premium leathers are being used on all mid top boots, while the branding stays very minimal with both brand logos being embossed on the lining of the tongue.

We just got to the Bread & Butter tradeshow in Berlin and are bringing you the first exciting updates from the show. Stussy has once again a footwear collaboration up their sleeve. Stussy Deluxe worked with Palladium on a mid cut boot. It comes in three colorways and features a mixture of canvas and suede on the upper. The Stussy Deluxe logo is featured on the tongue. Look out for a release Fall 2010, most likely around September.

Boot brand Palladium’s latest expedition takes them to the rooftops London’s inner city, where they explore Pirate Radio. “Born in the 1960’s, the original pirates found an offshore base of operations in rusting anti-aircraft towers standing in the mouth of the River Thames. These strange structures remain today and Palladium took a boat ride to climb aboard and see where pirate radio started. Today, pirate radio is everywhere in London, hidden in plain sight. While the internet is changing the landscape of radio broadcasting, the pirate’s role of breaking new music remains the same.” The London Pirate Radio documentary is now playing here.
