Penfield has built a reputation for making high quality outerwear with fashion, function, practicality and durability in mind. Patta teamed up with the Massachusetts based company to bring you the Patta x Penfield Kasson Parka. Patta has kept the simple and clean aesthetics of the Kasson Parka by applying dark navy wool on the upper, windstopper inner lining in contrasting safety orange and lined the hood with a plaid denim fabric.

Other features on this Kasson Parka include snap over storm flap with inside zip and two lower handwarmer pockets, as well as two chest pockets. Hood cords, velcro cuffs and drawcord waist are all adjustable to the individual user’s taste.

120 pieces total are produced and will retail for 199,95 Euro. The Patta x Penfield Kasson Parka will be available October 25th at selected retailers including Alife Rivington Club, Colette, Hanon Shop and also in the Penfield Online Shop.

After giving you a first look this morning at the Atmos x Penfield collaboration, here comes yet another get together by a Japanese brand Penfield. XLarge Japan got together with them to collaborate on the Outback down vest and the Summit winter parka. Both come in a variety of colorways, feature the Penfield logo tag on the chest and tonal XLarge embroidery further down.

We give you a first look at the Triumvir Polka Dot Series, which dropped yesterday. The pack consists of the Polka Parka and the Polka Shorts. Both are available in a black and a white colorway.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection Futura Laboratories is about to release the 6.2oz ATOMIC RING ZIP PARKA. The hoodie comes with the Atomic Ring on the hood and a signature tag on chest. It will be released at Stless on the 24th of March and each hoodie will be coming along with a white Atmic Ring Bearbrick.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection Mackdaddy presents a collaboration with Helly Hansen. We mostly hear about The North Face collaborations, but Helly Hansen was one of the strongest outdoor brands in the 90’s and somehow lost it a bit in recent years.
Mackdaddy gave one of the Helly Hansen technical jackets a nice and fresh look, perfect for Spring. The jacket is now available at The Reed Space in NYC.

Here’s a preview of the upcoming Triumvir Clansman series, featuring the Clansman Parka, button up and shorts. The Clansman series will be available in two color ways, Royal Blue / Black and Cool Grey / Black (as shown). The blue parka was recently a featured ad in the spring 2008 issue of Antenna Magazine. The series is made of 100% cotton poplin, it’s woven, lightweight, and perfect for the spring. The parka has a very technical feel to itself and is light, at the same time the pattern gives it a heavy look, which makes an interesting contrast. The set drop date is 3/21/2008.

This season we have visited more tradeshows than ever before. Thousands of pictures are now on the memory sticks and step by step we will give you previews of the interesting bits and pieces that we came across these past couple of weeks.
Beginning of February we visited the Boutique Fräsh tradeshow in Stockholm. This rather new show happened for the second time this month and has quickly evolved into the premier skate/street tradeshow in the Scandinavian market. Any brand that you might be interested in was showing. Over the course of this week, we will give you some interesting previews from the show.
We start today by showing you an interesting parka from the Grenade Artist Series. They worked with Rogue Status on a mountain parka. The white parka features the already famous gunshow pattern by the brand all over. Matching pants will also be coming along at its release later this year.

Levi’s Fenom released the Mountain Parka. This waterproof jacket comes with the usual technical features that we are used to see from high end Japanese lines. The interesting part is the consequence of translating the Levi’s design onto a technical jacket. Just like their western shirts, these jackets also have a subtle western touch to them.

Japanese brand Kiks TYO has released the first part of their 2008 collection. Of course it consists of a good amount of sneaker inspired t-shirts, but they also added some cut & sew pieces in this drop, including two-tone parka, nylon jacket and shemagh raglan t-shirt.

We give you a first look at two key pieces of the upcoming Triumvir Spring 2008 collection, which will be released in March – the Clansman Parka and “Used and Abused” t-shirts.
The Clansman Parka is a lightweight cotton twill hooded jacket that features a similar construction to that of a snowboarding jacket, intended for daily wear in spring.
The message behind the “Used and Abused” t-shirt is that, concepts and images have been flipped and re-appropriated over and over again to a point where creativity has been lost until it just becomes Used and Abused.
The inspiration behind this piece was taken from the artwork of Barbara Kruger, who is known for “her trademark black letters against a slash of red background…much of her text questions the viewer about feminism, classics, consumerism, and individual autonomy and desire.”
