Self-taught illustrator, designer, and artist Parra worked on a collaborative tee with Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Collection. Poking fun at the ridiculous “riders” sometimes requested by musicians, the tee features Parra’s distinctive, hand-drawn imagery with the slogan “Champagne and a Panther.” Now available from Dim Mak.

Next to the Air Maxim and the Varsity Jacket, Parra and Nike complete their collaboration this season with a Bomber Jacket and some t-shirts. The Bomber Jacket comes in black and burgundy, featuring similar patches to the Varsity Jacket. The t-shirts come with a slogan font print, just like we are used to see from the Dutch artist. Both the jacket and the t-shirts are now available from Atmos.

Last week the latest Parra exhibition opened in Berlin. We reported both about the exhibition and about the pop-up store at Wood Wood Berlin. We also used the occasion to sit down with the Dutch artist. We talked about his art, the new show in Berlin and mainly about the interplay of his more commercial projects and his art. Here is the final part of the Converse x Patta x Le Le video series which features Gee from Patta, Parra from Rockwell/Le Le and Makker the Dog, elaborating about how the project came about and the inspiration behind the product look, feel and materials.

To commemorate the Parra pop-up store at the Wood Wood Berlin Store, Wood Wood and the Dutch artist got together for a collaborative t-shirt. The t-shirt combines signature graphics by the artist and graphics from the Wood Wood Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. A few tees are now available online here.

One of the things we appreciate with Parra’s artwork is always the infused irony. Together with Nike SB the Dutch artist presents the “Douch Bag” skateboard bag. It is now available at the Parra Pop-up Store at Wood Wood Berlin.

On Thursday we gave you an extensive look at the new “I like the T-Shirt but I will get the Painting” exhibition at Pool Gallery Berlin. Last night the Parra pop-up store “I like the Painting but I will get the T-Shirt” celebrated its opening at Wood Wood Berlin. Aside from Rockwell t-shirts, the store also carries several Nike collaborative products, skatedecks and more.

Parra is as usual staying busy. Just the other day we gave you a detailed review of his recent Berlin exhibition. Also we presented to you the Converse x Patta x Le Le collaboration sneakers and the first part of their video series, which featured Gee from Patta. The second part in the series features Parra and explains his involvement in the collaborative project. Enjoy!

Today we passed by the Parra exhibition at Pool Gallery in Berlin. For almost 4 months Parra has been preparing for the show, creating lots of new original pieces. Highlights in the show mark his new black/white series of prints, which come in editions of only 9 pieces. Our personal favorite is his new mid-size sculpture, which comes in his signature colors and in an edition of 20. Otherwise the exhibition showcases many outstanding paintings by the Dutch artist. We can only recommend a visit.

From August 29th Wood Wood Berlin will also be hosting a Parra pop-up store, where you will be able to purchase a special t-shirt that was released only for this event, along with lots of other Parra items.
