Selectism Sessions | Passarella Death Squad

26 August 2010, 11.18 | Posted in Fashion, Music | No comments »

Our team over at Selectism had been planning a video series ever since that “Thanks for 2009″ letterpress video. It’s been some time, but Selectism Sessions is here now, focusing in on SL’s musical interests.

We’re kicking off the series with Passarella Death Squad, who’s music and clothing was perfect for us. Their aesthetic isn’t the prevailing ‘woodsman-in-a-starbucks’ look that’s hot right now, but we’ve always liked their t-shirts and their ready to wear collection takes the brand to new heights. And there’s not a honest fabric in sight. The video finds out about the brands new ready to wear collection (Danny’s wearing a varsity from their new collection), their music project and the brand’s origins.

Visit the SL features page to view the video at larger size, or follow here for some stills.

RTEmagicC passarella 4.jpg Passarella Death Squad
Lately a new London label has been invading the scene with highly sought after graphic t-shirts – the Passarella Death Squad. The brand was started in London by Danny Broddle and Emilie Albisser in 2004. They import all fabric from Japan and then manufacture the garments and hand print them in London. Strong graphics and great quality is what Passarella Death Squad stands for.
Currently they are only offering a line-up of t-shirts, but in January 2008 they will add cardigans /v-necks, dresses and various other items, again with the same design approach as the t-shirts, great imported Japanese fabric with a complimentary and creative cut.
Main stockists for London are Liberty and Matches, whilst for New York it’s Seven in Soho. Check out their current line-up after the jump.
